He is going to be impeached, no doubt of that. They have no choice but to do that.
But the real question is did he actually do anything illegal... and the analysts are indicating that it might be harder than one would think to prove. They can prove that he has a massive case of toilet tongue. They can prove that he has a creepy hairdo. They have him on video suggesting he is a character in a Cary Grant movie (as of yesterday). Fitzgerald hasn't filed criminal charges yet. Meanwhile, Governor Crazee is hitting the talk show circuit.

Yeah, so far the only thing they've covered is the senate seat. I don't know what the laws are, but right now all he's done is try to sell the seat, he obviously didn't actually do it.
Seems like they would have been better off letting him make the appointment then after the fact prove he sold it.
From what a lot of people are saying, he TALKED about having a desire to sell the Senate seat, but they haven't found anyone to step forward and say that he actually attempted to illicit a bribe from them.

Hey Mema, this may sound like a stupid question, but I really don't know.
Is it possible to "wire tap" cell phone conversations? I mean, it's always shown being done to landlines by either hacking into the actual wiring or by putting a transmitter on the phone itself.
I suppose if you could get ahold of someones cellphone you could put some kind of transmitter on it, but is that the only way? Or is there technology to simply intercept the airwaves and grab the call?
It's not a stupid question... and yes, it is in fact possible to "wire tap" such a call. All calls fundamentally end up on some sort of wired facility. In most cases, it is not really necessary or the most efficient means of listening into someone's wireless call. The equipment to do that is frequently available at places like Radio Shack, and in some instances Babies R Us... cordless phones, and wireless phones should not be regarded with much of an expectation of privacy. That is why they have made such a big deal out of President Obama having a Blackberry device.

I know when you're using a cordless phone you can't count on much privacy at all. I routinely would pick up my handset at the apartment and hear other people talking from somewhere in the building.
I'm sure there are places where officials can tap in like Mema's talking about, but its a lot harder now than it used to be for just anyone to listen in on cell phones.
When all the phones were analog, all you needed was a scanner that would go to the necessary frequencies (800 mhz area) . Then, laws were passed that made scanner manufacturers make the scanners block out those cellular frequency ranges. Typically, an internet search would let you find "mods" on how to go into your scanner and open those back up. My handheld VHF/UHF ham radio is (was) not even that difficult, it is only a matter of the right combination of key presses to open it back up.
Now that all the cell phones are digital, its not as simple as just listening in with a scanner. Instead of hearing the voice conversations, you'd hear the digital transmission. You would also need equipment to convert the digital signal back to voice. I don't know what the availability of those kinds of things would be.
Certainly though the Feds would have access to pretty much any conversation they wanted, and that's really what I was wondering. If it was still easy for them to tap any line they wanted to. Sounds like it is.
I just wanna make sure Ghost can't find any work-arounds

did anyone watch any of his "appearances" yesterday...the guy is a joke...can't answer a direct question...just talks about all the "good" "ambitious" things he has done as Gov....but wouldn't asnwer any questions regarding the selling of Obama's senate seat
Hey... Governor Crazee is going to be interviewed by Rachel Maddow on her show this evening. Gosh... ain't that cool! It's about time he got on TV to give his side of the story! Sorry! Normally I do not watch the Rachel Maddow show, but I might have to watch this one.

OH DANG... he just almost stepped right in a big steaming pile of dookie! Basically admitted to making "political" phone calls from his home that he did not feel comfortable making from his office.

OOOO.... Blago is going to try to deliver the closing argument at his impeachement trial. Reportedly, his summation will take an hour and a half! I wonder if he will do it in his best Jimmy Stewart voice?

I don't know what to tell you. He's obviously not right in the head, but he's not dumb. From what he says in all of his interviews, he knows he is going to be impeached. I think he is just working on what his next "move" is going to be.

That could well be the case. He has been comparing himself to various movie stars lately... Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, that guy from Blazing Saddles... Perhaps he is trying to put in a bid for a movie of the week about his life, starring himself. The media is playing right into it. They were waiting outside his home for his departure and inevitable "OJ moment"... getting into the SUV and driving to wherever.

And there it is... the unanimous vote to remove Blago from office. Good thing he packed his bags at the Governor's mansion before giving his speech today.
