Good morning, all. It's WFH Thursday for me. Hoping this will be an uneventful day. I just woke up about a half hour ago, so I'm still not quite "with it" yet. Guess I ought to log into the work network and see what is going on.

well let's get the sad stuff out of the way. Talked to my sis and she sez she is doing better but she sounds just beat. I don't know how you are supposed to move on when you still have to wait for the fetus to pass and then a possible DNC. But although I won't see her today she is working at a training. She will be back at the office Fri.
I woke up with a headache but other that that not too bad. We stopped at Tim Horton's and I got a Mocha and a chocolate dip donut. I'm starting this day right despite the headache! (sorry Mz)

When I took Brian to work this morning, they hadn't plowed their parking lot! So I got stuck. With a lot of work, Brian and one of his coworkers eventually got me pushed out. I don't know how they're going to work, they're not going to be able to get the vans out of there without plowing.
Now I'm at work and on with my day. I'm only working one job today, but I wanted to go to a gallery opening tonight, and then I have tai chi. I'd rather be taking a nap.
Hmmm... I can't log in to the forum through Firefox....could not either yesterday. I need to be working, guess my computer is trying to make me. I am here through Internet Explorer.
In the meantime, make it stop. I honestly don't know how much more of this work crap I can take. I have had it. My boss, who shouldn't be my boss because she left the company and now works for someone else, is an idiot. That's right, I said it and typed it. I know it is a tough market but I think I really have to get out of here. Between yesterday and today I have not been real good about controlling my temper. Kill.
Carry on.

Its going to be warmer today. Yay! They are talking 50's for Saturday.
I woke up about 1:30 with a sharp pain fairly high on the left side of my belly. It was not something like I've ever felt before. Having had major colon surgery a few years ago, I was getting a little concerned. The pain subsided and I was able to get back to sleep. I'm still getting twinges of pain that comes and goes this morning. Hopefully its nothing, or something that will "pass" but I'm kind of wondering whats going on down there.
Sorry to hear about your Sis, Woo.... I know that feeling all too well, it happened to me as well in 2004.
I have a busy weekend coming up, but once again the weather may just keep me inside. I have a "singles mingle" tomorrow night in Providence,(10 mins away) a birthday party for a great friend on Saturday night in Quincy (1/2 hour away), and a wine tasting pre Superbowl at my cousin's house in Attleboro (2 mins away) on Sunday at 4, and then the Superbowl.
Hope to meet someone nice at the Singles Mingle!! Keep your fingers crossed.
The pipes in my house froze last week, the plumber went yesterday to fire up the heat, now there's problems w/ the radiators..... what a moneypit!! Thank God for insurance!
well, i made it to work today. hubby put the cables on my car last night, but i had a flat tire this morning and he ended up having to go for me. kids are still out of school today because the bus routes are not cleaned up yet. jacob is hanging out with friends and isaac is at daycare.
I made an awesome traditional New Mexican supper last night -- Carne Adobada (Pork marinated in homemade red chile sauce; Frijoles (pinto beans -- not canned); Tortillas de Harina (homemade white flour tortillas); Ejotes (green beans -- cheated -- canned); and Natillas (homemade boiled custard).

DS.... how is you know how to cook authentic Mexican Food? Are you or your anchesters from Mexico? Or just a talented chef?
I'm originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. My ancestors are from Spain, (Conquistadors), but I also have a twist of Apache Indian (and probably some other mongrel that I don't know about yet).
As for talented , I'd just say lucky -- I made a disaster (as Isaac put it), out of MZ's state pie -- Sugar Cream -- last weekend...
