USA Today is conducting a simple poll today. This is not about what your PERSONAL FEELINGS AND BELIEFS about this hot button topic are, but what does the U.S. Constitution SAY about this issue. This will be a major topic of conversation this year as the Supreme Court has agreed to take up the question regarding the rights of people living within the District of Columbia.
The Question is: Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?
Why would you want bear arms? They are all hairy and stuff. I am sure they are incredibly hot and uncomfortable in the summer months. Plus, they would look really out of place with the rest of your body.

Like I said... it's not "Do you have the right to murder someone?" , "Do you have the right to own an Uzi?", "Do you have the right to commit a crime?"... the question IS "Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"

I will tell you what impresses me most about this particular poll: of the over 1.1 million respondents thus far, 97% of the people actually answered it correctly! That is stunning given every other day we are hearing how stupid or ill informed the people of this country are.
Regardless of how you personally feel about the answer, the answer is in fact "Yes". Answering the question "Yes" does not mean that you personally want to or do own a gun. It does not mean that you believe that you should be able to own a gun. It simply means that you can correctly answer the question as to what the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution says. Answering "No" means that you are factually incorrect in your answer, which thus far 2% of respondents either are factually mistaken or are incapable of answering a simple yes / no question as posed. 1% "Undecided" Can you decide if 1+1=2?
