M-O-N D-A-Y...

Good day all.

I'm indecisive today. Our local radio station is starting their A to Z, where they play their library alphabetically by song title. It really mixes things up, and I had decided to cheat on FFR and listen to the A-Z.

But, I love Robert Plant and have been wanting to listen to that album. It's hard, because I'm not all that fond of Allison Krause, so I haven't wanted to just buy the album without hearing it first.

I guess I'll have to keep watching the queue and switch back and forth.

Oh, and now I'm having the login problem. I tried deleting my cookie, but it didn't fix it. I've switched to IE to post this, but did anyone figure out how to fix that login problem?

Good morning, y'all. Rainy morning in the Tulsa metro. High expected is 70. I don't think the add'l 6 weeks of winter applied to Oklahoma. Yes, I am bragging, not complaining; but you know come August I'll be whining when it's 110.

Maranda saw Robert Plant and Allison Krause at Bonnaroo last summer and said it was one of her favoirte shows...

Smiles Everyone! Smiles!

Morning all. As Pambo mentioned, it is a rainy, extremely windy, blah kind of Monday. I thought for a minute someone else started this thread off with the Monday song. smile.gif

DS, I hope your prediction is correct. Where Oklahoma's weather goes, Kansas weather is sure to follow shortly. I can hang with 110* much easier than I can hang with 10*.

Oh yeah... since no one else sang it : M-O-N-D-A-Y-S-U-C-K-S dah dah dah MONDAY SUCKS dah dah dah!

Actually, I did start it off, hoping you would finish it off for me!

monday...really? can we just skip to Tuesday? Please...I hate the 7th work day in a row..tomorrow I am off.

So I had to get up at 6:30 to call and register little A for preschool sniff.gif Her little friend little R get to be in the same class...so its not quite so bad but still...my baby is getting so big.

Tomorrow I have to go washer and dryer shopping and hopefully tomorrow night the sparkster can be installing them..so I dont have to take laundry to my parents again. I think someone might ha'nodve washed a king sized blanket on a low water setting...maybe might have killed the old one. nod.gif

My friends husbands funeral is on Thursday and I am probably going to watch James for her instead of going...I just dont think a one year old should be at a funeral...I really hope that is the option she goes with. How do you all feel about a baby at a funeral. His 1st birthday was 1/30/09.

In her case, I think it would be better not to take the baby. She'd probably do better to just take care of herself.

I just did the math on an A-Z run through of our request list.  Taking 4 minutes as an average per song (it's probably a lot higher because the shortest song is typically 3 minutes and the longest can be 8 or 9) it would take 32 days to run through the whole thing.

I was just telling Web last night that the next time a major artist were to pass away I'd like to feature their music in A-Z fashion once an hour for a week.  That's something I've always meant to do but never got around to it.  Also, fortunately no really big mainstream artists have passed away recently that I can think of.

Hey - where is that Webguy? I hope he is feeling better and that he was able to recover a lot over the weekend.

He isn't a bad pitcher. Or at least he wasn't. I can't remember where he has been the last couple of years or what he has done.

The Phillies signed Howard to a 3 year, $54 million contract yesterday. I still think it is way too much.

He was with St. Louis. They converted him to a starter. He's got a 26 - 24 record over two years with an ERA in the low fours.

He was quite a sensation his first year I think, going 14 - 10 or something with an ERA in the high threes.

Nice thing is he got some big innings, 199 last year.

Congrats on Howard, I saw that and grimiced a little. I think sets the tone for Prince Fielder. Fielder is a better hitter and doesn't strike out as much, but Howard has averaged more homers and RBI's.

I suspect in two years Fielder will want the deal that Howard just got, and there's no way we can pay that much.

I think it was way too much. He got a $8 million raise. I could see giving him another $3 or $4m a year. I probably could have accepted 3 years for $40-42m.

You know, just for one year, I would like a $8m raise.

I thought it was an alarming increase myself for a guy who hit .250 and struck out a whopping 199 times.

Apparently in contract negotiations you only take into account the good things and just ignore the bad.

I think they should have let this go to arbitration. I think the Phillies would have won this year. They were offering him $14. He wanted $18. He got $10m last year. Phillies wanted to pay him $6. He better hit .300 or better with all the rbi and hr totals the same or better or the fans will be miffed. I think they paid him because they believe he puts butts in the seats. I would counter with he is not the only one fans pay to see.

Hi everyone!  I had to take my glasses back this afternoon.  When they put the bifocal in the lens, they set it too high and it's caused me to have a terrible headache since Saturday night; dang thing was right in my line of vision when looking straight ahead. hmm

It was another nice day for February.  Not as warm as Saturday but a heck of a lot better than single digit temps.  I'll take as many of these kind of days as I can get! smile

I made it...actually been here all day. We are short staffed and I have 12 appointments everyday this week. It is the last week to apply for graduation. Out of 60, 10 are not eligible. Oh joy!
