I am not superstitious and this weekend is the Southeastern Wildlife Expo. I told the hubby I want to go downtown tomorrow and be a tourist. No gifts to exchange. But I did buy Emily the Wizard of Oz pop up book. It is really for me!  shh.gif

I don't particularly care that it is Friday the 13th. Makes little difference to me other than it preceeds Valentine's Day, which seems totally fitting to me. laughing.gif

Earlier this month, Isaac was talking about Groundhog Day and Mr. DS said, "Isn't groundhog day on Feb 14?" no.gif

If Mr. DS made any plans (yeh, right), I have not been made aware of anything. Maybe I'll suprise him with a heart shaped chocolate cake with raspberry filling -- I used to do that when our love was young smile.gif and we all know that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach smile.gif

Yeah, I never understood that one. Just because everybody feels compelled to send flowers, chocolates, and go out to dinner on this one everything is so uselessly overpriced. I'd totally rather get flowers any other day of the year "just because" than flowers because it's February 14th.

I'm with you both on this one.

I have been married for nigh on forever (almost 16 years) and I don't believe that Valentine's Day should be any different than any other day.

I forgot it was Friday the 13th until my BFF, Mema reminded me about it. This was after I basically told her that my day had gone to heck in a handbasket and my head was ready to explode.

I don't believe in it...but it seems to believe in me. hmm.gif

The O-man got his girlfriend a gold necklace with a heart shaped pendant. He was going to take her to a movie tonight...but she's too sick. My guess? He gets nothing & she breaks up with him on Monday.

How's that for jaded?
