First Sunday In March

Good morning everyone!  Some of us are beginning a journey today; a journey that will help us become healthier and thinner than we currently are.  I'm excited about embarking on this journey with my friends here on the forum!  I just wanted to take a minute to thank Web for setting up the board and inviting me to join him on a road that will lead to a healthier us.  YOU ROCK WEB!!!!  clap.gifbiggrinbiggrin

It's sunny and cold outside this morning.  I sure hope by the end of this month winter decides it's time to leave Michigan.....I've been ready for it to leave for the last 6 months!!

JD, shows tonight or are you taking a break this week?

I'd like to lose a additional five pounds (I'd be 156) I don't like when I get up towards 165. It makes me think of when I was almost 190.
We did the movie thing last night. Slumdog. I like the concept. The movie and acting, so-so. Today is the new car show downtown. I go only to see what I might own in five years!
Good luck to all of you doing the "program" keep in mind, health is the key. Skinny doesn't = healthy. Excersise makes everybody a happy being. Walk, Ride, Run or whatever. You have different chemicals running through you during and after those moments.smile
I guess I'm still an owner this month.
Do we receive an email reminding us?

Good morning all! I didn't join the online deal, but I am going to try my best to get me doing something. I need to. Best wishes to those of you who are. smile.gif

Anyhoo... getting ready to go to my younger son's house to see the gang. I called out there earlier and my granddaughter answered the phone. I said, "Hi Miah! This is your grandma. May I please speak with your mom or dad?" She answers, "Hi, Grandma! What kind of grandma is this?" laughing.gif Gotta love the kids!!

Morning all.

Day one of 25 weeks. Which just to clarify is not a competition, just a support group. I know Web was concerned about making sure it was viewed as or turned into a competition.

I'm pretty pumped up. I'm answering some emails, searching the job sites and then I'm gonna get my first official workout in.

Other than that it's a typical Sunday. Gonna get ham and rolls (but instead of two sammiches and a pile of potato salad I'll be going with one, slimmed down sammich without mayo cry.gif and no potato salad).

Then I plan to sit with Grandma for a couple hours so my Mom can enjoy some free time to herself.

I hope everyone out there has a great Sunday!

Hello all, just sent Web my first weigh in, excited to get started too, although I have been doing it a couple of weeks already and lost about 12 pounds to date, but I still need to lose alot more, so good luck everyone who is taking part.

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Howdy Folks.

Had a good morning at church today. We're getting quite a few new visitors and they seem to be bringing friends in as well. Its good to see some positive interest in what's going on.

Mrs Web had to go to a town about 35 miles from here to present a scholarship. Her mom had always wanted to set up a scholarship in honor of her dad, but it never got done. Mrs Web got that set up in honor of them both now, so she had to go be a presenter at the annual county-wide scholarship awards program. She wanted me to go too, but she didn't want to deal with the boy grumbling about being bored for over an hour so she went alone.

I'm sleepy this afternoon, but doubt I'll get a nap. I've got a few things I need to do today, one of which is to hit the elliptical machine.

I'll be at the AMF Lanes in WestAllica this eve. The boy has a coupon for pizza and a bunch of bowling that expires on the 4th. I haven't been bowling in so long. He always remembers one of his "best ever" birthday parties at Burnham Lanes. Soda, Pizza, best friends and of course bowling.
If I get back early enough, I'll check in.
Later

Today is Mr. Woo's b-day as well as Jensen Ackles.

Hee hee!

Went out for an early dinner with my Mom and Step-Dad and in just a few minutes we leave for bowling night. Hubby is gonna try to bowl but may not be able to bowl all 3 games. But he will try. I stupidly cleaned my bathroom including scrubbing the walls and floors. I hope my bowling is not too affected by my extra work. But i was not motivated yesterday.

Oh well, I hope y'all had a good weekend!

Good day all. It's been a busy day. I slept in, then went to a meeting about making hats for cancer patients, did some not-fun shopping, then came home and cooked lasagne for supper. Now, it should be done, I need to wake Brian up and eat!

hats for cancer patients. I love that idea. I used to work with a lady who made little knit hats for newborns at a hospital. She was so alive with purpose, it was beautiful.

Yeah, they'll be for chemo patients. I've seen a lot of ugly hats out there for chemo patients, I'd like to make them something cool.

What a great thing to do Mz!!  I'm sure they'll be very happy to receive a new cool looking hat! smile

My youngest daughter was a preemie, and ladies in the community knitted hats, sweaters, booties, and a matching blanket for the preemie ward at our hospital.  I still have the set my daughter was given; it was beautiful!!

Good evening, all! I'm back from spending the day at my son's house. I got to see both of my boys and all three of my grandkids... that is pretty rare these days. The due date for grandkid #4 has been bumped up a couple weeks... should be around April 10 or 11. smile.gif

Hats for chemo patients is a really nice idea. Good for you, Mz.

Bowling went well.
155, 154 & 149!
Quite the day. While at the New Car Show, I met a guy from California that owns a 1960 Olds Four Door. I don't even want to try the odds on that.
I think I missed the shows. hmm
I've got a couple of things to do then, crash.
Take it easy.
Day two tomorrow, no whining or  moaning!
