SHOW WILL BE RESCHEDULED- sorry folks I caught myself one heck of a spring cold, and feel LIKE CRAP!! Tonights shows will be reruns, and we'll reschedule Sinatra and DINO night for another Sunday.

I hope everyone who was tuned in enjoyed the rebroadcast of the Ray Charles tribute show. I had forgotten how intense this particular broadcast tribute was, how great the song choices were, how great the request e-mails were,  and how I was fighting off tears on this particular night long after the tribute hour was done, literally hours after Ray had passed.

Having seen the man perform a year before his death from the front row, after having been a life-long fan (thank you dad and grandma), I really feel this was my best show to date. It is nearly a year later, and not enough time has passed to allow me to see this broadcast objectively, without the gratitude and sadness Ray's death evoked that night.

JD,
I really enjoyed the show last night. But where was the Dean Martin? Thanks for the Rosemary Clooney. Keep up the good work!

Ray! doggone it- I swore I had Dean in my collection at the station. I know Riggs has been cleaning up our network & files- inevitably some stuff gets lost or taken out of the system. We are eventally going to have pretty much everything back up on to dvd and off of the network, (with the exception of the request system files and regular daily playlist stuff). I am guessing my Dean is housed somewhere on one of the dvds. My bad- if you tune in NEXT Sunday (with a 7-7 of course) I promise to try and get some Dean on!

Have you checked out the Ultra-Lounge or Music for the Batchelor series of CD's?  They're very eclectic.  Lots of good music and lots of music I've had to listen to a few times before it grew on me.  I should be listening next Sunday, with a 7&7 of course!
