Wednesday?

Good day all.

It's a little later than usual, and I don't see SG around, so perhaps I'm beating him to starting the daily thread...

Mornin' yawn.gif

Ugh, it was a short night. A server woke me up about 2:45 this morning. While I was waiting for the data center techs to work on that, I remembered that the new DVD player had said it needed to be upgraded. While thinking "Ah, that won't take long" I started the update. My goodness, it took a LONG time for it to download the new software. Finally after about an hour and a half, the server was back up and the DVD player was updated. Then, it took me while to get back to sleep.

NetFlix must be trying to impress us. I signed up over the weekend. I saw that "Bolt" was available in a few days so I added that to my queue. We got it yesterday. I can't believe that there wasn't a long waiting list for it. I suspect that we got it because we're in the trial period.

Anyway, "Bolt" is really good. We all got some good laughs over it.

Blu-Ray on the new HD TV was AWESOME! I was really blown away with how good it looked.

The NetFLix downloads over the DVD player works great too. The quality was better than I expected. I expected it to look like it was a smaller screen blown up, but it was better than that. I'd say it was nearly as good as standard def tv.

Ok, I'll stop talking about HD TV stuff for now, but I make no promises what may happen when the Huskers come back in the fall. smile.gif

Oh hello. I wish the days were 5 hours longer. 1 extra for play perhaps, and 4 extra for sleep.

Actually, I've had Netflix do stuff like that before.  I think they just underpromise/overdeliver.

Morning all! Sunny and 38* presently. Looking at my calendar, it appears I will be sitting here getting some actual work done today. YAY! clap.gif Happily, Pambo is in the office today! smile.gif And of course... another going away party this afternoon.

a blustery grey day here today.  high of 38, yippe.  I have already been taking the sump pump around my mom's house to get rid of some of the flooding.
