I saw the title of this thead and thought that you must have a fever- LOL!

I am sore (bowled last night and not very well) and very tired from going to bed late. I still need to try and focus and get caught up. I'm almost there but not quite. I shall try again as soon as I get something to eat. For some reason I am starving!

Wow!  For a minute there, I thought you'd lost your mind! 

Well, according to Mr. DS, we actually ended up with between 9 & 10 inches of snow at out place on Saturday!  --  I am happy to report that it has pretty much all melted away.

Every morning I arise and try to embrace the totality of existence, and of the universe. I do so in hopes that perhaps this attitude will lift me out of the tunnel-vision reality of my daily life.

It really doesn't work well. Especially on monday.

I try to be optimistic, and my friends sometimes call me "Miss Optimist." But I'm not one of those overly cheery people, and I think you can be optimistic without loving everything.

Ah, Monday again. Somehow I have a ton of little things to do again (letters, phone calls, reconciliations) and a ton of big things to do too (11 TX PPT returns). I have received two letters from our payroll department that belong to me in corp tax that are very outdated. One letter is almost a year old and the other is seven months old. no.gif I can solve one without any issue. The the other one (provided it is actually mine) could end up costing us more in penalties and interest. The original issue even predates my time here. I will have to wait a little longer before I call AZ to figure out what the tax notice is actually for.

I think I don't like this workday. I guess I'll just take it piece by piece and hope I am able to resolve most of the little things all today.

Just a normal Monday so far.....only at work today and tomorrow....then off to Washington DC to visit American University, Georgetown University and George Washington University with my son......it's getting down to the wire on where he will attend next year....still have to hear from several schools (they tell us this week!) so a final decesion isn't made, but Tulane University in New Orleans is probably in the lead right now  (Yes, Mom and Dad get to go to Mardi Gras!)  Probably won't be around much on here this week cuz of the trip....

25 weeks results are posted.

I'm having an ok Monday. I wouldn't say I'm "cheery", but I'm not in a bad mood either. Its just another day.

Morning all. Its definitely a Monday. As I was just getting ready to log out and head to the office I got notified that someone was going to do some testing on one of my projects... in like 15 minutes. Nice of them to tell me in advance so I could be prepared for this. 2 minutes later and they would have been up a creek. blankstare.gif Nothing starts a week off like having to send the "Captain Obvious" e-mail : "Hey, how about you clue me in advance when you want to do these test calls? Here's why: If I don't make the calls route to where you are trying to test to, guess what? YOUR TESTING WON'T WORK!!"

Typical Monday for me. Got ambushed with work stuff before I even got out of the house... handled that... got to the office to hear about the Friday night of the guy who sits next to me. Had to explain something obvious to him. Wondered how he has lived so long and yet manages to be so oblivious to life. Had to hear about it all frigging day because he thinks I'm wrong. Story gets around the whole office. Everyone agrees with me. hmm.gifno.gif I finally get home and log back onto my computer to hassle Pambo about still being at the office. She tells me to shove it, then asks me questions about work stuff I haven't thought about in the last 4 years. I'm shocked that I remember any of it. We agree to talk about it tomorrow.

It was a reasonable Monday...
Rachel was at school, revising for her exams coming up in May/June...
Young Martha is in France. I am missing her...like a sore thumb. The fact that I don't miss her at all sums me up as a crap mother lol... I am enjoying the lack of argements and clashes we have.
My work was ok...The time is dragging slowly, I have a hosp appt next Monday and the time is dragging, just wanna get it over with...smile.gif

I didn't day I enjoyed it, Squonk. It just is what it is. blankstare.gif I could absolutley live through a Monday withouth having to explain some aspect of human psychology/ behavior /sexuality to the guy who sits at the next desk. no.gif Tragically, I can't really demand a pay increase for this as it's not part of my job description. It just kind of falls into the category "meantoring". Every review time my boss says something like, "Man, those guys would be totally lost without you."
