TGIF

Good day all.

Either I'm going to have a nice quiet day without interruptions, or I'm going to have a hectic day of doing everyone else's work.  I'm hoping for the quiet day.

TGIF indeed! What a long week. I really do not wish to sleep my weekend away but I fear I might cuz I certainly have not been sleeping much during the work week. Last night I couldn't find the right temperature and Supernatural was really good and I was kinda hyped.  yawn

Howdy. yawn.gif

We're looking forward to a quiet evening. The boy is going to a friend's house for a birthday party/sleep over. Four 2nd grade boys spending the night together. I hope the parents are prepared. This will be his first friend sleep over. He has stayed with grandparents a few times, but this is the first non-relative night away from home. I think he'll do fine. His mom is worried.

The weather man says we can expect 6-12" of snow in blizzard conditions tomorrow night. Yuck.

Friday yes. Payday yes. Raining yes. Busy yes.

Mz - I hope you get your quiet day. That would be helpful.

Web - please keep your snow.

It's taken so long to get here, my excited is busted...

Looks like it's leaning toward panic mode around here.

Tulsa metro weather upper 60's today and tomorrow 70's, but looks like we'll cool down to the 40's for Sunday.

You can keep your snow too Ally. We don't need any April snow around here.

You might get some next week Fuzzy. They're calling for some flurries for us, and I'm more south than you.

I made it to the office a bit ago. Nice morning outside for early April... sunny and 42*.

Still can't get my freaking desktop monitor to work, so I opened a trouble ticket with the helpless desk. I bet they resolve my issue by removing my desktop monitor and telling me to cope, unless of course the budgetary cutbacks preclude monitor removal. Then they might just e-mail me back with a "So? Dump it in an empty cubicle."

It is good to know that other large companines also have helpless desks. I thought it was just our IT group. Their main answer for everything is a reboot.

I hope not. Perhaps there will be a southern high pressure system that will bring us warmer air. That will just give us more rain instead of snow. With all this rain, I really need to get the fetilizer on the lawn.

angered.gif Just got the e-mail response... Your monitor is a lightweight CRT. At your convenience, bring it to the PC walkin clinic.

I hate a lazy IT department. Especially if the are not in the same building or on the same floor.

I had black beans for lunch JR. I have had shrimp, tuna or salmon every Friday!

I have been proud of Emily, she gave up the watching Disney in the mornings for Lent and she made it! With spring break, she can now watch it again. Watching Disney in the morning made her not get ready for school, make her not honor her mother and therefore not close to God. I really was proud of her!

And I'm back in dual monitor bliss! No thanks to the helpless desk who didn't bother to help... I narrowed it down to a bad port on my docking station. Swapped those out and VOILA!

Happy Friday all!! Payday for me and there was an unexpected surprise in my check.  I got a 20 cent raise per hour, and along with retro-pay back to January!! clap.gif  I had no idea I was getting a raise, so this coupled with it being my last day of work for a week really made my day!!!! biggrin

That's great about Emily, sounds like she has a good heart smile.gif

I think I've only slipped once this lent.  I've come close several times though.  Even this morning, I made an egg white omlette with some onion and fat free cheese.  I had brought the turkey lunch meat out and put it on the table.  Luckily when I was preparing the omlette I remembered it was Friday before I put it in.

Actually, that was unlucky.  If I had put it in there having honestly forgotten it I probably could have gone ahead and eaten it.  DANG MEMORY!

I'm going to sock this check away and use it towards a "reward" for myself when we hit the mid-point in 25 weeks.  I don't know what to reward myself with though.  Anybody got any ideas????

Maybe a nice gift for your buddy in Wisconsin?  Then you could have the joy of feeling good about doing something nice for someone else.  nod.gif

Congrats on the raise Sandy.  clap.gif

Well, it wouldn't have been my first choice, but I guess a video game would be cool with me Sandy.

Remember, I have a WII.

I'll PM you my mailing address biggrin.gif
