I feel a bit cheeky starting off the Tuesday thread when I'm hardly here at the minute.
But, happy Tuesday everyone, I miss you all when I'm not around, but I don't forget...
there just seems to be so much going on at the minute, if not in life then in my head lol.
Anyways the sun is shining down in my little corner of Earth this fine Tuesday, the wind is blowing too but it is nice in the sun. I will endeavour to get out on my bike for half an hour today. I want to do it every day but constantly the chores and things "to do" overtake me...
I hope you all have a good , peaceful day as best you can
Last night I found a tick on my back. I can deal with spiders, snakes, and scorpions. I hate ticks. I'm still all creeped out from it. It was pretty burrowed, I found it because I thought I felt a large pimple on my back. So it's possible it had been there since Friday night. I'm wondering if that's what was making me feel so bad yesterday. Is that possible, to feel sick while a tick is on you?

Ticks have been an issue for us lately too. Our daughter's playground at her preschool appears to be infested with them, and we even found one on my son's hair the other day after playing outside in our own yard. Of course, the one's that carry Lyme disease are the tiny deer ticks, and the ones we have are the larger brown ticks, but it is upsetting nonetheless.
I'm not sure if they would make you feel bad while it is on you or not. I know it could cause infection. We had one burrowed in our daughter's scalp last year, but we never saw any ill effects from it, knock on wood.
Good morning, y'all. Nice to see Pip has dropped by.
Looks like rain AGAIN for the Tulsa metro -- this will make the 18th consecutive day of precip... But everything is so lush and green. Absolutely beautiful!
I'm dragging butt this morning... First thing on my agenda -- Coffee; Then I have to try to get hold of the Turkish Consulate in Houston.
Smiles Everyone! Smiles!

Hello all! Bit chilly today but should get up to low 60's
FIL is getting a chemical test to see if he can handle a bypass in his legs in order to save them. Have to go to a viewing after work as there was a death in the family but not an unexpected one.

The boy's track meet is today. I'll go just before lunch for his first event, and then I'll eat lunch with him there. Its cloudy and damp, not a good day for a track meet.
Good morning again, all... finally made it into Camp Happy. Right now its 59* and cloudy. Looking for a high today of everybody's favorite... 69*... and thunderstorms. Yay... more rain.
Good luck to your FIL, Woo.

mz keep an eye out for a ring around the burrow- could be lyme disease. even with no ring, if you still feel bad, seek help!

I'm still going to be aware of how I'm feeling, but now that the tick is gone, I feel TONS! better. I don't know if feeling so bad was related to the tick, or if it was something else entirely.
I better not get Lyme disease while I'm on vacation!
