Mornin' Jay Dee and all the ships at sea!

Nice day here in 'stallis cept for those darn races. Erica's house is too close to the fair park. I woke to that annoying sound of cars going in circles hmm.gif

Nice day though. Last nights ball game was awesome. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it is SO NICE to have a closer that electrifies a crowd again. Not since the days of Rollie Fingers has that ballpark rocked like it does when Trevor Hoffman enters a game.

I remember going to games last year when Turnblow, Gagme or Horrid, er, I mean Torres would come in for a save. The crowd either let out a collective yawn or a collective groan. If you're the opposing team it's GOT to get in your head just a little that you're in some trouble when this guy strolls in from the pen, the speakers are blaring AC/DC's Hell's Bell's, and the sell-out crowd is on it's feet the entire half inning.

GO BREWERS! WOO HOO!!!!!

Everybody have a great weekend! As for me, it's back to the ballpark tomorrow for Trevor Hoffman bobble head day. clap.gif

Good morning all.  It's a nice day here, sunny and supposed to hit low 70s.  I'm going to go look for some flowers for the yard today.  I bought hanging baskets last weekend, and now I want to get some potted flowers for the patio, front & back porches, and the little gardens I have along the side of the garage and fence line.

My oldest girl is going down to DTE tomorrow to see Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction.  I dropped numerous hints for the past month that I'd like to go too, but they fell on deaf ears. hmmcry She said she'd buy me a concert t-shirt.  Great, but I'm still getting the short end of the stick. blankstareevileye

JR, get there early.  I wouldn't want you to miss out on getting your very own bobble head. biggrinwink

Hope all of you have a great day!!!!

I got a Ryan Braun bobble-head a few weeks ago Sandy. But when I got home and took it out of the package it's leg was broke. I called my insurance company but they said he wasn't covered hmm.gif

It's going.  Nothing spectacular.

How's the week been going for you?  Have you shed any of the water weight that you gained last week?  I'm still stuck; haven't lost nothing again this week.  Stupid body. hmm

No. I'm down a smidge, but not much.

I still haven't gotten my BP medicine refilled though. The male doctor has been there the days I've called and I refuse to deal with him anymore, so I'm waiting until the female is in.

A lot of days after work I just don't have the energy to shower, get redressed and go in to the doc. I wanna get home, shower and go to bed.

But I HAVE to get in this week, so whatever day she's in next I'll probably get in there. I'm sure I'll drop most of what I gained once I get back on the medicine.

Our stoooopid bodies ARE hard to figure out aren't they?

I was just telling someone the other day I've never in my life had such a goofy weight loss. Traditionally it's been a pretty steady loss week after week.

This time it's all over the place. a small loss one week, a huge one the next, no loss the week after that. Despite the fact I'm watching what I eat and exercising almost identically every week.

Oh well, I guess as long as in the end you get where you want to go it doesn't matter if the road that got you there was straight or filled with curves right?

Yeah, I'm sure that's what caused your gain last week.  There's no way you could gain like that on your own, even if you tried.

How's the job going?  Still taking a beating or are you getting used to it now?

I blame it on being older.  Things don't work like they did 20 years ago.  hmm

The jobs getting easier to handle, but it's been very unsettled so far. I've only had one "normal" week.

This week I'm training a total loser. The guy gripes about any work we have him do. We're actually stuck with him for two and a half weeks and it's making the job unbearable.

I'm the type who likes to stay busy so the night goes fast. This guy would like to do about two hours work and then sit around for the next six. Anymore than that and you're working him too hard.

Get's a little frustrating.

Hopefully, he won't be around long!  I really dislike working with people like that.....it's like "why'd you even bother to get a job??!!"

I've got 2 weeks left, then I'm off for the summer.  I was talking to Web this morning, and he asked if I was going back in the fall.  Right now, I have to say no, I'm not.  I'm burnt out, hate my boss, hate the "drama" and all the other B.S. she brings to the job. I haven't turned in my resignation yet though.  I decided to hang on to it in case all I really need is just a few months off over the summer.  Not a good time to be looking for work in MI.  I'll see how I feel about it come August.

Happy Saturday, all. smile.gif

I am trying to get me moving and doing something for this day. Not quite sure what yet. I should go check things out across the street at the pool. Also have a few other things I need to get done this weekend. I just feel like being lazy.

It is sunny and 81* with a nice breeze.

Howdy folks.

The boy and I were hoping to go fly kites today, but the wind isn't cooperating for that.

Something bad must have happened. A while ago, we had cops, fire & rescue, and two ambulances go screaming East out of town. Since then, two life flight helicopters have come and gone from the hospital. I hope its not as serious as it looks. cry.gif

Sounds bad. Been a lot of bikers out that way? The weekend rides have really been picking up around here and there have been a few fatalities out of that. cry.gif

Another life flight has come and gone.

My wife just came from the grocery store and the story there was that it was indeed an auto crash. The current story is that our State Farm agent (lady) and one of her kids were killed, and the other family members with her are in bad shape. The other driver was a high school kid who now has a broken back.

These initial stories are typically not accurate, but there is no question this is not good. cry.gif

Ah man... that sucks regardless. When Life Flight is involved, its generally pretty serious.
