Morning all- Today my Father-in-law has a surgery. I am at work but hubby took the day off but he is not sure if he will stay at the hospital the whole time. His parents keep worrying about him missing work time. But he went to help get him in and situated. He said something about going to the other workshop so he could stay closer to the hospital. I checked in with my Mom last night. She broke her ankle if you missed that. My sis has arranged for my niece to stay with her for a few days. She also has other friends in the are checking in on her too. She doesn't get to see the foot doctor until Thurs morning.
Have a good day!

Good morning everyone. Woo, wishing the best to your FIL and your mom.
I'm going to try getting the porch railings painted today in between the trips I have to make out to my daughter's school. This Driver's Ed thing really chews up my days; I have to take her at 10, pick her up at noon, take her back at 2, pick her up at 4, take her back for road driving at 6, pick her up at 7:30; I spend all day getting in and out of my car! They said all kids have to be picked up in between their class/range/road times.....no one can be hanging around the school waiting for their next class. I'll be glad when July 3rd rolls around and she'll be done.
That would tick me off -- having to drive back and forth like that. When Jake took driver's ed last tri, it was after school from 3-6 or 7, and the teacher would have them drop themselves off at home each night.

I think they did the schedule this way because there are so many kids signed up; they're broke down into groups A & B......she's in A, B comes during the breaks in her classes. MI law concerning driver's ed says there can only be 20 kids in bookwork class at one time, they have to split the range times up because they only have 6 cars for range, and law says only 1 driver per car on the range, then 3 kids in the car when they go on the road. I'm just happy she doesn't have to be at school by 7 in the morning for her road or range time; some of the kids do.
oh hello good luck with everything woo, wow sandy thats a bit intense. heck I think for our drivers ed it was a wednesday night two hour thing then two hours on the range saturday for maybe three weeks?
I think m day will be very much like Mz's...

Good morning all! I've been fighting with my dang computer since I got to the office. Was just about to go home where everything was working like a champ this morning.
It was a long night with the thunderstorms, though I'm not entirely sure if it is creepier when it is raining so hard that it looks like a wave hitting the house or when it suddenly goes almost dead calm. Ah well... no obvious major damage.
Ghost... that is crazy. Then again, my driver's ed class was during the school year so it was just split between class time and road driving time... whatever time was allotted for the class was split up however they saw fit, but that was Missouri.
Woo... best wishes with your FIL.

I know all about that feeling Mz. I feel for you.
Morning gang. I am now in the aftermath of yesterday's tax deadlines. I have spent the morning cleaning up this area that has a desk under it somewhere. I have made good progress getting this scanned, saved to the network and filed. Other papers have been organized for round 2 which will be due by 9/15. I am currently going throught the mail that has accumulated on my desk, making phone calls and writing letters. More fun. I have been going back and forth via e-mail with the boss about stuff he owes me and stuff I will be sending him throughout the remainder of the week.

Today I have NOTHING to do. Really. I resorted to cleaning out my e-mail inbox for a while. The boss came by this morning to ask if we have any capital projects going on. Uh... no. What there is going right now is strictly expense. My one big expense project is now on its 7th delay... none of which is my fault.

For the past couple hours I've been babysitting our VP's 8 week old baby. Peanut's momma is our IT person and she's been working on THE MAN'S computer. Peanut is a little fussy, but just let Auntie DS have him and he's good...

ok FIL's surgery went well. The extra time was due to discovering an aneurysm in his leg and having to deal with it. Also they found out that he really doesn't have many good running veins in his leg. He is high as a kite, but is alright at the moment
