Trish, I would love to hear you sing. I like the sultry sounds of Stevie Nicks, Kim Carnes, Tina Turner, Taylor Dayne. Put me on the keyboards. I actually took piano lessons for 14 years and finally quit when my teacher kept me in the classics. I'll join the Theater group too. I was actually cast, many years ago in the tour group Young America. I quit that when I kept getting called a f*g. My ego was not strong enough to rebuff the social attacks as most in the trouppe were. I sing back-up too. My voice coach worked with me where I could sing some Bass, Barritone and 2nd Tenor. I didn't like her much either becasue she kept me singing opera. Will admit though, have not done it for years.
I don't know how good my voice will sound to other people. My mom loves it and cries when I sing. I'm praying they aren't tears of pain. She assures me they're not, but you never know with mom's. I will have to dig out the old tape recorder, dust it off and make a tape. I had an opportunity to sing with a band a few years ago, but it was too far away from where we live and my husband was not on board with that. I wish I would have...it would have been a dream come true.

It's funny you mention "Freeze-Frame Theater Presents..." because J.D. & I have been knocking around an idea for a weekly soap opera for the station.
NOT a full blown soap opera of course, but we're working on a mini-drama that would have one five minute episode per week that we would air throughout the week.
The theme is behind the scenes here at Freeze-Frame. Kind of like SCTV for radio. And of course, the subject matter is purely fictional (mostly)
Too bad none of you are in the area, you could do some guest voices when we get this thing running.
Of course, our alterior motive is to hook the CASUAL listeners into coming back each week to catch a new episode. For you regulars it will just be a five minute annoyance taking the place of a request!
