And it's 1:35AM... and the freaking PM on this freaking migration freaking failed to do his FREAKING JOB!! I'm wide awake and I'm PIST!! Didn't bother to make sure anyone from testing actually agreed to support his project tonight... my guess is no since no one showed up... tried to argue me that we should be testing traffic we AREN'T touching just because we will at some vague point in the future and under a different project move that traffic... with the folks from the telco we are working with on the phone... Not that any of it matters anyway because we can't actually test anything without the testers.
Anyhoo... I sure hope everyone else's Tuesday starts better than mine. I'm gonna try to chill out and go back to sleep.

Another day where some dumbass almost takes out one side of my car because he doesn't know how to drive. Hello!!!???? Jackass. He had to see me. He would have lost two thirds of his left side of the car. I slam on the brakes and swerve to avoid hitting him and he speeds up, still comes into my lane and keeps going. I am also lucky the guy behind me didn't get me. It's not like we were doing 30mph. You know the guys was a dumbass because a little later he cut over two lanes of traffic to get off at an exit.
I am tired or risking my life to come into the office everyday. Anyone have a need for an accountant or soccer coach?

Mema, sorry you had to deal with Etches in the middle of the night.
D, I hope you got to sleep too.
SG, I'm glad to hear you're having fun!
Yesterday was kind of quiet around here, I'm hoping it will be today too. Today in Bloomington it will be hotter, but cooler. Although the temp will be up to 90, the real feel will be down to 100. Perhaps I should grab a jacket. /sarcasm
They are just stupid. I guess inconsiderate is really the correct word. All you have to do is drive the stretch of the road that I drive every day once and you will totally understand. I just have to try to find something closer to home and that will help my problem greatly. I think my insides are still a bit shaky from the incident and it happened an hour ago. I will gladly say it again, I hate people. (Please remember that friends are not people.)

Good morning again, all. I did in fact get a little sleep after all that. However, I am still not what one would call sunny bunny happy... in other words, a certain PM will be feeling the wrath of the MM today.
Fuzzy... dude is lucky you weren't armed.
SG... Party on, brother!
Mz... I feel your pain. Here is what the National Weather Service has to say about my area:
OPPRESSIVE HEAT AND HUMIDITY TODAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...
.A LARGE DOME OF VERY WARM HIGH PRESSURE HAD MOVED INTO KANSAS AND MISSOURI ON MONDAY... AND WILL PERSIST THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL REACH THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S WITH HIGH HUMIDITY LEVELS. THE COMBINATION OF THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY IN THE AFTERNOON WILL MAKE IT FEEL MORE LIKE IT IS 105 TO 110 DEGREES.
The other weather info says: Day: Mostly Sunny. High 97F. Winds SE at 6 mph. Air Quality: Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, UV Index: 10

Mema, I think you're just a day or two ahead of us, I think we're supposed to get that tomorrow.
Really, I don't hate this weather. I'd do better in it if people didn't crank their AC so cold. At home, we have ours set on 78, really just enough to keep the humidity out. I'd still rather have this hot weather than cold and snow.
FIL is scheduled to come home today. The idiots made them change rooms last night even tho they will release him today. So stupid. The only bad thing is that they discovered that he has MRSA in his one foot wound. So now everyone has to be extra careful and make sure he isn't touching the wound and touching everything else especially the remote that he seems lost without even though he doesn't really know how to run it.

I think an IQ test should be given as well as a drivers test to get one's license. If you fail you take the public bus. And driving without a license should be a felony- operating a deadly weapon.

I'm here. It's already oppressively hot and the humidity makes it seem like you're breathing water. But I'm with Mz. It's better than ice & snow & cold.
It's gonna be another day of meetings. Crap. Well, at least I have a job.
In truth, I don't mind the weather either. Sometimes the air quality thing is an issue for me since I verge on one of the "sensitive groups". I have infrequent athesma attacks, generally brought on by severe stress, cigar and pipe smoke, or certain odors. I would definitely take the outdoor sauna over cold any day.

Hi all!! I'm not complaining about the weather because I've waited 8 months for it to be like this. Summer is finally here and I'm lovin' it!! I know it's hot and humid, but I'll take it any day over -10 or -20 degrees outside.
Last week we got some big rains here, and a room that's downstairs in the basement under our front porch started leaking badly. And by badly, I mean that it was actually raining INSIDE all down one of the walls.......started near the top of the wall somewhere. I had over 4 inches of water in that room to mop up each day that it rained last week. To make matters worse, it's right behind our front steps.....and the steps are solid, poured concrete.....each step is 8 inches thick, so we have this huge chunk of solid cement steps we have to somehow break up just so we can find out what's going on with the wall behind them. My husband tried to move them by using his truck and chains to drag them out of the way, but they didn't even budge! They're too heavy to move this way. So over the weekend, he brought home a cement saw and a jackhammer from work.......he burned up 6 cement saw blades trying to cut through them, and only got one little corner to break off the bottom step. And now that it's turned hot and humid outside, he doesn't feel like working on the steps at all. I'm afraid that the next time it rains, one of the blocks in the wall might decide to pop loose and then we really will have a mess on our hands.
So last night I asked my husband when he wanted to take some time off work so we could start working on the problem, and he just about bit my head off. He said, "he'll get to it when he feels like getting to it!!" So then I asked him if he wanted to hire it done, that I'd make some phone calls, get some estimates, and have someone else do it for us. Wrong thing to say! The crap really did hit the fan then.
So he doesn't want to hire anyone to fix the problem for us, but at the same time, he really doesn't want to do it himself either, and he's really ticked off at me because I opened my mouth and asked him how & when we're going to get the job done. Guess I shouldn't have said anything at all.
Hey Ghost... tell him physical labor is an excellent way to alleviate stress. Maybe he could grab a sledge hammer and take some swings at the concrete steps....
