I thought we needed a new thread since almost everything is about problems w/ the station, etc.  So this may be a weak idea.  But we all have to have an opinion on this guy.  So do tell, what is your fav. song parody by Weird Al?


I'll get us started - I just cracked up when I heard - I need a new duck!!  I thought it was so cute!!

I forgot about the clone song and I've never heard the king of suede song so I requested it.  Soon we will hear it.  Too bad we can't request anymore W.A. songs for awhile.  Then again you don't want a day of W.A.

Way back when on the Dr. Demento show they used to play one of Weird Al's first recordings called "The Waffle-O".  Not anywhere near the comic brilliance he hits now, but still a favorite.  It was cool to hear where he started.  Like what JD was saying about new jazz artists on his show.

I just heard "This Song's Just Six Words Long" the other day and loved it!  But I have a problem of when I hear the real song, I can't stop hearing the WA lyrics.  Expecially with Eat It, White Stuff, and She Drives Like Crazy.  But my I can't remember the name of my favorite Weird Al song.  I don't think it's a parody, but it's something "Blues."  It's got a line like, "I think I'll kill myself, but I think I'll go bowling instead," and, "My daddy was a waitress and my mama sold bathroom tile..."

REM's Stand is another one that I always hear Weird Al's lyrics instead of the real ones whenever I hear the song.  "Spam in the place where you live, Ham and pork..."
