Okay so I can see the rest of you are all busy working today as its Monday. I however had another idea for a thread. Movie soundtracks. Just a basic discussion of songs on movie soundtracks and what soundtracks are good, etc. I'll start off.
The Peter Townsend song that was just on, Let my Love Open the Door is on the Mr. Deeds soundtrack along with some other good mellow songs. I recommend it! (and the movie too)
As I've said before, I love the soundtrack to Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. I also love Footloose (although that one got me in trouble when I recorded my sister singing it with headphones on and played it for all of our friends) and Pretty Woman. 10 Things I Hate About You was a good one, too. Good thread, Star.

That's what keeps me young!!!!! Same can be said for Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool in Fast Times. Those little slices of movie magic replaying in the minds eye. But with that said my all-time favorite movie is Citizen Kane. The message is so simple it's brilliant.
As I said in another thread, I own the Gross Pointe Blank soundtrack, disc one. Unfortunately, that's one of those that they split the good songs up between two discs so you'll spend extra money. So of course, I pick the one with Queen & David Bowie and Violent Femmes.
I also own the Fast Times at Ridgemont High sountrack and VHS. I need to get the DVD though! That's one of my favorite movies of all time! Of course, I'm also a Sammy Hagar fan.
I also like the Big Fish soundtrack. It's a good mix of songs and Danny Elfman.
I forgot Falling From Grace. John Mellencamp flick, John Prine, Dwight Yoakam and band mates Larry Crane and Lisa Germano on the soundtrack. But I'm a Mellen-head. So take it for what it's worth.
Mz- They did the same thing w/ splitting up songs on The Wedding Singer soundtrack.
But it has Dead or Alive, Bowie, B52's, Billy Idol and a ton more - I forget what's on what so get them both if you're an 80's fan - heck you have to be you're here.
Hey--I still l isten to Flashdance. I had such a crush on Jennifer Beals, so much so, that when it was made public that she was not the actual dancer in the movie, a double, I had to defend her. Now don't laugh, but I really like the soundtrack to the Hillary Duff movies, Cinderella Story and the one where she went to Rome. You can tell I have young daughters, but found I like the music.
Has anyone ever located the Can't Buy Me love Soundtrack? I know Living in a Box is on it and Dancin by Myself by I don't know if it still exists. That is my fav. movie. Yes, I love Patrick Dempsy. We already went through that.
Oh, I forgot one. I used to LOVE the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. The problem was, at the time, who didn't? So it got played and played and played over again. But, it still gives me good memories.
you all have forgotten about the 1st sound track featureing Rock n Roll ? for shame ...Heres a hint -see the beatles thread ,,school is in session (was that another clue ? yep ) I'll check back later to see how you did !
