Y'know what?  JR really peeved me wit dem Packer wise cracks on da "Rivals" thread!


So, know what I'm gon'na do?  I'll tell ya!  I got dis full sized BRET FAVRE picture that I offered to ol' JR, but he never got back to me!  SO NOW IT'S ON DA BLOCK!


It's slightly beat-up, and I know we can't move any money across the Forum threads, so here's the bids I am accepting.  FOOD COUPONS!  Not groceries, fast food!  Go grab that Sunday paper before it hits the recycle bin and start bidding!  I'll check in on this thread through the day, and at 5:00 PM CENTRAL TIME the bidding stops.  Whoever is offering the most food coupons gets ol' Brett.  And I don't want just numbers of coupons, I want to know who they are for.  It's easy to say "5 Coupons" but saying "3 McD's, 1 Hardees, and 1 Long John Silver", now that carries some weight (pardon the pun).


The winning bidder and I can work out the shipping details on the private message side.

I have felt the sting of a punishment at the hands of WFTR


But I had it coming, I did indeed forget all about my Bear loving friend.  (But REALLY, WHO LIKES THE BEARS?!?!?!?!)


Anyway, I digress, I'll look around the house and see if I can't locate a two-fer-one coupon from some restaurants

WFTR,


     I feel the need to confess, that I am a Packer Fan.  I have followed this rivalry from 1970.  Success is cyclical. We owned the 60's.  The Bears owned the 80's. We have owned the 90's up through the present.  I know that when Favre retires, there will probably be a tickertape parade in Chicago.


     I enjoyed watching many Bear players for their prowess, even though it was at the Pack's expense.  Players like Walter Payton etc.  I know I have been privileged to see Favre wear the green and gold.  He is the real deal.


     Maybe we can agree on one thing...we all hate the Vikings!

The Chicago Bears- they are called that because the rest of the NFL BEARS WITH THEM AND THEIR POOR SHOWINGS YEAR AFTER YEAR! Jeeze I am almost emBEARassed for our neigbors to the south and their BAD BAD FOOTBALL TEAM!

OK, for a brief moment we shall live in reality.  The Bears and Packers both have long and illustrious pasts and have been an asset to the NFL.  Any banter is strickly for fun, it is just a game after all.


BUT THESE RIVALRIES ARE JUST SO MUCH BALSTED FUN!!  I am in agreement with you that purple and yellow are the most ridiculous colors in football.  And horns with blonde ponytails?  PU_LEEASE!!


So enough yakin' you 'Sconsonians!  Put up some COUPONS!  Bret ain't gettin' no younger!  Oh wait, that's not a secret!  He's doing comercials for sensetive GUMS, fer cryin' out loud!

WTFR, I think this was a set-up.


I think you KNEW you'd get a minimal response to your offer and THAT would allow you to make cracks about how you can't even GIVE Favre away!

Well, by my clock it is 10:00 AM CT and the bidding is closed!


Jeremy, the picture is yours at a price of ONE COUPON!  I thought I could stir up a little Packer Passion out there, but such was not the case.  If it had been a picture of Walter Payton or Mike Ditka, Chicago fans would have been all over it!  But we're sick that way, and need to cling to our past glory.
