I just love the full moon smile  Moon rise in my neck of the woods will be around 8:50 pm.

Hey yaz,

We went to the motorcycle/atv/gocart/mini sprint races last night. It was fun, the boy seemed to enjoy it.

Mrs Web's foot is more purple around her little toe that she stubbed. She doesn't want to go to the Dr.

I picked up our new smoker/grill yesterday afternoon. I'm looking forward to trying some new things with it. We're going to have to learn how to bar-b-que all over again, but it will be fun.

Its still foggy and humid here . . . supposed to be in the high 90's tomorrow.

Morning all. yawn.gif I'm hoping I'm not going to be spending my day fighting connectivity issues, but its certainly starting out that way. hmm.gif Its WFH Thursday anyway, so YAY!!

Sounds like Mrs. Web definitely has a broken toe. Not much point in going to the Dr. THey will just tape it to the one next to it and tell her to try to stay off it. There is really not much more they can do... maybe give her some pain meds.

Full moon... SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEt.

I love a full moon. It appeared full last night, but I couldn't confirm it since it was maily hanging out behind the clouds.

Morning. Last night I went to the minor league baseball game. Had a good time, there was no rain, but boy was it croweded. I didn't get my bread box or free loaf of bread (free to the first 2,500 adults 15 and over). One of our major league pitchers has a rehab start last night. There were people everywhere. It was a new record for the park. Over 9,900 hundred fans in this small park. I bought my tickets back in April. I wonder how many tickets they sold after it was announced Martinez would be pitching last night.

Not as cool as I thought it would be. Let's remember that it is a minor league park. So what it really was was a clear plastic box that resembled the size of a fishing a tackle box. And it had a label slapped on the top. But it still would have been cool to have. Just because.

Well, the first inning went like this: strikeout, strikeout, homerun, strikeout. He had 11 strikeouts in 6 innings. He gave up 4 runs, only 3 of them may have been earned. He gave up 3 runs in the sixth to tie the game at 4. He is a lazy sort of guy. He cost himslef a run or two by not covering first base. He let a ball go out of play while he was backing up third base. The ball went off the third baseman's glove, hit Martinez and rolled onto the first step of the dugout. He made some of the young kids look silly on some of his pitches. He threw about 80 pitches, 60 for strikes and didn't walk anyone. There weren't too many men on base, but I think he struggled with his location a little more when he had to pitch from the stretch. And oh yeah, my little Phillies won the game 8-4.

I doubt Phillidelphia will include him on its play off roster, but is he going to get a September Call up?

They paid him to pitch at the major league level. He will be here. It is a matter of will he ba a starter or relief. I think he'll be in the bullpen. Unless they are going to force Moyer to sit out (you can't send him to the bullpen), they don't need another starter.

I was hoping he would retire after last season and become our pitching coach. The Phils shouldn't have signed him to a two year deal.

He is about 46. His shelf life has been longer because he doesn't throw hard. But he is getting knocked around too much this year. He wins are coming against subpar teams.

I wonder if they will think about going with a six man rotation. I know they have a couple double headers coming up, so that may help.

Thats what cost the Brewers this year...very thin starting pitching...plus injuries...they might be better off planning towards next year...they are only 4 back with 53 to play, but the rotation is very beat up.

Green Bay's First pre season game is on the 15th as well...The season starts pretty late this year...September 13 against Chicago.

Thats half the fun in seeing kids trying to win jobs...I just wouldnt want to pay full ticket price to watch it....but I like seeing how team chemistry comes together.
