That's good news Thump, glad to hear it. smile.gif

G'mornin' all. I'm officially on vacation now. YAY ME!

Planning a full day of shopping as I try to finish up furnishing the apartment. Hopefully I can keep the final price tag low. Most of the big furniture is already bought and paid for so I think I can do it.

Have a great one!

Good day all.

Good news Thump.

TGIF! It's been a long hard week. But today I get the check with all the overtime, hopefully that'll make the long hours and skipped lunches worthwhile. (Yes, I'm spoiled, I get my check in the week that I worked for it.)

Yesterday I was thinking of leaving early, but my boss left early, and I didn't get everything done that I wanted to do until 5 anyway. But it's a good thing I stayed, because a customer called right at closing time needing some stuff first thing in the morning. This is my boss's customer, so I don't know where this stuff is at. I find it and get it ready for them. Then the customer calls this morning needing more stuff, and that they'd be in a 8:30. My boss doesn't normally show up until after 9. They were kind of short with me and couldn't wait an extra hour to come get them. Thankfully one of the guys knew where the stuff was at.

I just hope that doesn't show what my day is going to be like. I really need a nice quiet Friday.

Morning all.

Hang in there Thump. Do your best to hang around until the last day they give you. A month or two before that day start looking for something.

Finish your coffee Mz. I am sure your day will settle down.

Thanks Fuzzy. I picked up a latte this morning. And I'm in my comfy shirt and jeans. OK, so it's going to be 86 out and I'm wearing a long sleeved shirt, but it's my comfy shirt, and they'll probably freeze me out of here today anyway.

I'm excited to try bar-b-quin' some chicken tonight on the new grill. I've got the chicken covered with "Chicken Rub" getting ready. Also going to throw in a pan of potatoes, onions, and green peppers with some "Veggie Shake" over that. Hopefully it will turn out good.

Yum, breakfast!  Thumper, I was thinking about you when I heard the news on the radio yesterday morning cry.  It's good to hear that you have several months yet.

I was absent from work on Wednesday and no busier than we are, I was burried in little projects yesterday.  But they're done, and looks like business is building momentum where I work.

I'm beginning to notice that the sun isn't so high in the mornings when I'm leaving for work smile  (autumn anticipation).

Well, M now we know where we are going for dinner. We'll just bring dessert. Count us in Web.

Mz - it is all about being comfy. I know I work better being comfy. It makes it a little easier to be in the office and usually helps me to be more productive.

Will do . . . two more plates.

Mema could leave about noon and make it in plenty of time. Fuzzy, you better be about 1/2 way here.

But I need to be back here by noon tomorrow. Busy Saturday awaits me. If I can't make it back in time then I guess I better not come over tonight.

DEAL!!  I got nothing going on except 50 computer reboots. I could be as productive if I was on the highway heading out of town. laughing.gif

I'm back from the first session of shopping and so far I've stayed on budget. I went over budget on a rack for holding my DVD's. I decided to go with a pretty nice unit with sliding glass doors for almost $200. I justified this by scrapping my plans for a nice patio set (I expected to pay about $150 for that) and instead just got two fairly nice plastic chairs for a total of $26. They're not like those cheap white ones. They're pretty solid with high backs. Good enough for the patio. I'll have to try and find some kind of small table for between em'.

I experienced a new level of "extended warranty" lunacy at OfficeMax today.

I bought a cheap desk lamp for $10.49. That's not even a sale price, it's regularly that cheap.

When I check out the clerk goes into great detail about the extended service plan available. Should anything happen to my $10.49 desk lamp in the next year they would repair or replace it if I took the extended warranty for $1.99. no.gif

I told her I thought I'd just take my chances.

You made your appearance. Quietly slip out. Go home and log in. That way if they need you, you are there. I think a beverage while out back on the porch sounds good.

I am still wavering on whether to try a drink someone mentioned. It is simple: peach rum and lemonade. I can do that. Light, fruity.

By the way JR, just wait another month or so and then you may be able to get a real good deal on an even better patio set as stores want to clear them out instead of trying to find space to store them. Same goes for the grill.

No thanks. I have plenty of those things around here. You never think of me while you are shopping. Just once it would be nice to have a guy bring me something pretty. Technology can be pretty. Hint hint.

Well, I'm on my way out the door for round two. If I should happen upon an electronic beer mug and it's priced reasonably I'll be sure to pick it up for ya! biggrin.gif

You know JR, my toaster oven died the other night. I know sad, very sad. Any chance you will give me money to buy a new one? Is there anything left in the budget?

I got one at Target last week  You're welcome to use it anytime you want.  Just let me know so I can be expecting you.  smile.gif
