MZ is right, the now playing page has always been password protected. However if you logged in for the request page you were logged in for everything, so that might be why you thought it wasn't protected.
I'm not sure about changing the coloring of the now playing pages, request pages and forum. I could change all of them, but in the past people have not liked them in anything other than white.
A change to the forum would probably require a change not only to the color but the design as well because the current design doesn't allow for many modifications.
I gotta run out for a few minutes, I'll address some of the other points when I return.
Not being a member, I've never been able to log into the request page, but I was always able to display the Now Playing page. However, it may have been a different Now Playing page than what members see, judging from the copy and pastes I see on the Currently Playing thread.

You're right - the Now Playing page had a different appearance for members and non-members.

So I guess that means the Now Playing page for non-members is now gone?
So I'll have to become a member to see that page now? I'd be happy to, and in fact I was close to doing so when JR announced the imminent pulling of the plug, but if the plug is going to remain in......
Any chance we make sure the forum stays the way it currently is? The colors fit nicely with all my other work applications. I sit in a high traffic area. Unless you were standing next to me, you don't realize that the forum it is not work related. (As long as I manage to keep the avatars out of sight.)

And I had a friend who was tuning in, and thinking about joining. (The very week Riggs announced the plug pulling.) Weird timing? Fate? Hmmmm.....

I forgot about the recently played page. Actually I didn't even think that was a live page, I thought I had let it freeze and never fixed it.
Access to the now playing page AND the request page will eventually return to free MURSCLUB. We'll be moving away from listener owned. I will probably have a VIP section of the site that will offer some added value in return for a small donation to help fund the station, but that won't be required to listen OR to request music.
While it's been nice having most of the cost of streaming covered by the listeners it has really ended any growth of the station and helped lead to our demise I'm afraid.

Yeah, that's another aspect that I know was important to a lot of people when we HAD a lot of people. I imagine the color will stay the same. Reading black on white is just generally easier on the eyes.
Don't forget you can still access the forum directly so you don't have that black bar across the top (if you don't do that already)
Actually, I was just thinking it would be nice if the colors matched more. Like making the accent blue similar to the blue glow around the logo and the stripes black or silver...
Sorry, it's the graphic designer in me kicking in...

No need to apologize. That's a good thought. I dont' think I have that kind of control on the forum, but I'll look into it.
No black bar for me. I access the forum directly. The blue and white fits nice with windows applications and our accounting sytem colors. I think I can't get into freezeframeradio.com because of the dreaded "radio" word.
It was even better once they dropped the banner ads at the top and just have simple ads with no graphics up there. So much cleaner to be able to use during working hours.

very nice! the only thing I can think of is maybe some sort of props/ link to the loudcity home page...
Yes! That is coming JD. I actually had the link set up early last night but wasn't happy with it's placement. But it will return within the next few days.
At the moment I'm leaning toward October 1, MZ. The changes will be gradual (and explained thoroughly here in the forum) but I'm leaning toward October 1'st for the end of listener ownership.
I'll decide for sure shortly, but I can't see a reason it wouldn't happen October 1. That was roughly the time we started listener ownership so a lot of annual memberships come up during that month.
