Last night I was watching a scary movie, "Soft for Digging." Right during the climax, the ghost is out complete with a knife, the picture right behind me fell off the wall! Talk about creepy!
It was a painting that my friend Cathy painted for us. The glass broke, and a small part of the painting got scratched on the bottom, and there's a little tear in the bottom, but for the most part it's OK. We need to get a new frame though. It still makes me sad.
I haven't talked to Cathy in forever. I think this is a sign that I need to send her a letter.
Then last night I had a dream that my sister died.
last night i was dreaming that Mema was a cop and she and a bunch of cops were at my house providing protection from a terminator robot who was looking for my hubby's friend. Oh, and she was also helping me hang up curtains

Morning all. Another day, another 10 cents. The week seems to be moving slow yet fast. The slowness is that "What do you mean it is only Thursday?" At the same time it has been busy so at least the work week is moving along.
I am awaiting a summons from the three blind mice (aka the three NY auditors that are here). We are going to do audit stuff. Fun, I know. Other than that, I am trying to clean up the odds, the ends, random items and local tax returns around here before being out next week.

Wow JD. I think I remember you telling me that one. That IS freaky. I would have not been able to sleep for months after that.
MZ, very creepy as well.
We had a heavy rainfall here just a few minutes ago. For the first time I got to truly experience the joy of underground parking. I went and gave my Mom a ride to work and never had a drop of rain hit me. SWEET!

I know several people who have had that dream...only they dont believe they were dreaming.
I put "Soft for Digging" in my Netflix cue. It had 2.4 star rating, meaning most people didn't like it. As I read the reviews, it was very divided -- either people hated it (1) star or really liked it (4) stars. I usually find the movies that get all the hype, I'm not that impressed with, and the ones that are unusual or low budget, are the ones I really like.
I won't be receiving it until sometime next week because I already have my weekend movies at home.

I watched it online. It's pretty short, not even an hour and 15 minutes, so I didn't even stream it to the TV.
I gave it 3 stars. It's very artsy and ambient, which I like. But it's also very slow, and it wasn't very scary. The storyline isn't very unique, which could be OK since the filming style is different. My major complaint is that many of the scenes seemed drug out. Like, he's walking up the steps. He's walking up more steps. He keeps walking through up the steps. Get there already!

Ok, I'm going to tell my demon story... and I KNOW I wasn't dreaming. I was even so freaked out that my mom sent me some holy water from Lourdes to bless my home. The number of people I've told this to, I can count on one hand.
I woke up in the middle of the night (about 9 years ago) with an uneasy feeling. I was not groggy or half asleep. I was definately wide awake. I rolled from my back to my side and in the corner of my room there was what looked like a gargoyle, with glowing red eyes, perched on the edge of a piece of furniture watching me. I closed my eyes then opened them and it was still there. Again, closed and opened my eyes. Still there. I was really scared, but I told it to leave -- "You will not upset my home, you are not welcome in my home, leave and don't come back!" (I know, stupid, but that's what came out), then I hid under my covers and prayed an Our Father, Hail Mary, (and every other prayer I could think of), and asked God to please shelter my home, and family.
A couple weeks later, my ex-husband's wife called me in the middle of the night and told me that he had committed suicide. He had a history of mental illness (schizophrenic), and had gone off his medication, again.
The reason I feel it's connected is because while we were married and he had his first "nervous breakdown", he would freak out and say he was seeing demons...
Make of it what you will... but I'm absolutely sure I know what I saw...

God, Satan, Angels, demons...there is a spiritual realm that we are connected to. I have no doubt you saw what you saw...a good reminder we are more than just our physical bodies. Thanks for sharing.
JR - that looks nothing like you. Did you get a stunt double to do the publicity shots? Was putting a penguin in the shot just not proportionately right?

I've never actually seen anything like that, but probably every other month or so, I'll suddenly wake up to a very awake state. I then quickly get a intense feeling of evil around me. I will then break out into a cold sweat, my heart starts racing and I start breathing hard. Its a strange feeling because I feel safe because there is like a sphere of protection of the Holy Spirit all around the three of us, but yet I get the sense that there are very evil beings moving around that sphere trying very hard to find a crack to get through. It usually lasts about 15-20 minutes and then its like they give up and go away.
Since I only intensely feel it and don't actually see anything, I'm always about 50/50 wondering if I'm really sensing something, or if its just my mind playing tricks. If I was actually seeing something I wouldn't even doubt it because when it happens, I am SO awake I know I'm not just dreaming.
Its spooky stuff to me though, and not something I would every want to fool around with.
Oh, yeah. I know what you're talking about. Like there is a presence that give you that uneasy feeling. You can't see anything, you just know it's there. My mom says it's lost souls that are in need of prayer.
