You know, it's funny, I just remembered that story because that catch by Jenkins made me think of "the catch" Charlie made in the playoffs in 1982.
At the time I thought it was the greatest catch in the history of baseball. A beautiful sliding catch off the bat of Reggie Jackson. It was so good that Reggie stopped and tipped his cap to Charlie if I remember correctly.
Of course, you were probably what, four years old in 82 Somechick? So I suppose you wouldn't remember that one.
