Sunday, Sunday, Sunday...Be There

Hello everyone.

The week end continues...

It is Sunday ... and it is sunny and 62* as we type.

If they havent already gone back to school, alot of kids go back this week.  Good luck parents.  biggrin.gif

My list today includes church, some laundry and work later tonight.  But it looks like it is going to be a nice Sunny day.  Sunny day on Sunday...ironic, isn't it?  smile

Morning all! Right now it is sunny and 72*. My immediate future will include mowing the yard before it gets extra hot. After that, probably vacuuming and cleaning the carpets. Definitely need to go to the grocery store and some laundry. Maybe fire up the grill this evening. lick.gif

Howdy Folks,

Windy, but a nice 76 here. The feel of Husker football is in the air.

I think I'll take a nap.

Hi all!  Got back from the cabin yesterday; nice long week of soaking up the sun and just relaxing.  Tomorrow I gotta load up the camper, grocery shop, and do laundry.....then hitting the road to do some camping all the way through Labor Day. biggrin

LOL, have car, will travel!! winkbiggrin Trying to squeeze every last drop of fun into the summer before my youngest girl heads back to school.  She goes back the day after Labor Day; college for my oldest begins next Monday......she won't be going with us on this last trip.

Yeah, but the downside is no paycheck for 3 months.  Kinda sucks ya know.

Hey, how did the move go?  All settled in now??

That does Suck.  I know some teachers have their pay spread out over all 12 months.  Kind of sucks during the school year to make less, but it's probably easier to budget.

The move went well, I'm all settled in and it's starting to feel like home (ALMOST, but not quite yet).

When I left NC I honestly figured I wouldn't have an apartment as nice as that again for a long time, but I have to say this is my favorite place I've ever lived.  It's really nice.  Of course not being able to have my dog sucks, but she's doing really well living at my aunt.  Gettin' lots of love and attention.

Is the place you're living in the place that was in the woods that you were talking about a while ago?

Sorry you had to give up your dog JR!  Man, that must have been really hard to do.  It's nice that she went to a family member though and you can visit her. smile

Got any pics of your new place?

No, I wound up staying only 3 blocks from my Mom, 2 blocks from my sister and 4 blocks from my aunt with the dog! It's really convenient.

I wanted the place out by the woods, and at some point may move there, but this place had all the ammenities for a much better price and the way the land is situated it's still quite secluded even though it's in the middle of the city.

I'll put a couple pics up for ya.

These are the outside shots.  The first one is the patio.  It faces a small fenced in backyard that I share with one other tenant.  No one else has access to this area.  Then it overlooks an 8 ft. drop to a small city park.  A nice big circular flower bed is right there.

The second picture shows the view from the patio looking out.

The third photo shows the courtyard on the other side of the building where you enter the building.

The inside is small (900 sq. feet) but a fairly open design.  Ironically it's the smallest apartment I've ever had but the bathroom is the largest I've ever had.  There's a washer and dryer unit in the apartment, which is a nice amenity that not a lot of people around here offer.

What a pretty view from your patio!! Pretty cool that you and one other tenant share the back yard.  Looks like a nice place to live JR. smile

Now if only my dog would come running to the door when I open it the place could feel like home.

Yeah, I really lucked out.  The other three sides of the building would face either the courtyard or a city street.  I'm pretty much the most tucked away apartment in the whole place.  Even the neighbor I share the back yard with has it a little worse because she's right over the garage door and one side of her apartment faces a grocery store parking lot.

I REALLY wanted out of the city.  But this place has a nice view, is quiet and somewhat secluded, plus it keeps me near family and close to work and shopping.  It's good enough for the next few years.

Once I move up a little at work I'll start looking at moving out to the nicer areas.

Hey, I see Fuzzy's toaster!

Your walls are looking a little bare, you need something on them... ;)

Hey, it even comes complete with the stock apartment cabinets! I swear, those are the kitchen cabinets I've seen in nearly every apartment. (Except for ours, we still have cabinets from the 70's.)
