Its a gorgeous day in KC so far. Partly cloudy and currently about 72*. I have tons of chores to do today, but all I really want to do is enjoy. I've already started on the house work. Fortunately some of it will get me outside so I can appreciate the day.
Hope everyone else is having as nice of a start to their weekend.

I spent my day trying to install the sound card again only to find it didn't work any better than the original card. My hope is dwindling for keeping the station around.
Then I watched a great movie (Ghost Town) and now I'm playing PS3.
I think the feature I like the most about video game systems today is how you can download trials of the games before you buy them.
Tonight I'm testing out the 3 MLB Baseball games. The games run anywhere from 40 to 60 bucks and if I were buying them blind I would have bought them in this order:
1) The Bigs 2 2) MLB The Show 3) Baseball 2K9
The first two are sixty bucks, the last one is forty.
But after trying the demos I HATE "The Bigs 2", it's way to fake. Players can jump 30 feet to make a catch! It's got goofy features where a guy comes to the plate to hit and the system takes over and rapid fires through four batters to set up a grand-slam. Really kind of dumb. I guess it would be ok just for fun with two players, but not something you'd want to play a season of.
Right now the third choice is the one I'd go with and it's the cheapest. So the demos saved me probably 100 bucks cus I think I woulda wasted my money on the first and second choices originally.
I think our high today was somewhere around 77*. It did sprinkle just a little bit, but nothing major. It was a great weather day.
I got out of the house to enjoy some of it... took stuff over to the recycling center, did a little shopping at the outlet mall, and went over to my mom's to help her out with some painting. Right now Eddie and I are sitting here watching the NFL channel. I love it that my cat likes football... how cool is that?
