Actually she says she wants to go shopping. We will have to stop at least every 2 hours on the way back so she can get out of the car and walk around... risk of blood clots and all. We saw an outlet mall in Monroe, OH that has several stores I'd like to shop sometime. She says we need to go there and find her a turban or a do-rag since she will have a new and interesting haircut when this is done.
She has also told me that she wants to go to Imo's Pizza and have them make a bacon jalapeno pizza for us... its our favorite from there... she will be able to enjoy it without getting the pain zaps in her chin, tongue, and teeth.
Oh yeah... and when she is all recovered she also wants to go out for girls night. Maybe go dancing like we used to before this all happened. AND she want her son to start playing soccer again so she can go watch.
That's all I remember for now.

What a guy... he adores Pambo. He puts up with me. He drove us an hour out of our way to go see weird stuff. He shares his double stuffed Oreos. Absolutely deserves a gold medal for all that.

I showed her the picture before. Of course she was hideously stoned at the time, but she asked for a "shower cap picture". Believe it or not, she also wants post surgical pictures. She joined the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association a while back... plans to use her experiences here to help inform others. All this would be public info eventually anyway, it just comes with the bonus of keeping her friends and relatives informed as well. Some of you guys aren't on FB or Twitter, so I figured I'd post it here too.

Just spoke with Dr. Casey. He says that he found a couple things that were impacting the TN nerve and what he did to try to rectify those. One issue on top of the nerve and one below the nerve. He said the nerve itself was quite irritated, so it will likely be a week to 10 days before we know how successful the surgery has been.
As a bonus, he took a look at nerve 7, the "Bell's Palsy" nerve and said he definitely identified the vein that has been impacting that nerve all these years. He tried to move it a little but said that there is not much room for movement but he did what he could to try to free up the nerve. No guarantees that the paralysis will improve, but as he says "the man upstairs works in amazing ways sometimes".
Pambo is awake and responsive, but we have yet to be allowed back to see her.

I so want to do backflips like Cheetah for Pambo. I know the results are not going to be immediate and Dr. Casey says there are no guarantees, but I feel it in my bones that she will be a lot better. Maybe not perfect, but definitely better. It has to be.
I also can't seem to stop crying for my sister. I know it was caught early. I know it is very treatable. I'm just so worried for her. I don't know how she is managing, but right now she is taking a final for her Master's program.

It'll be okay. Both of the girls are going to be good. Pambo is going to heal and feel like a new woman. Your sister will not let this get to her and will show it who is boss.

You're under a lot of emotional strain right now- Crying is probably a good release. If you can sneak away by yourself and do some relaxation / meditation, it'd probably be really good for you, too.

Finally in the ICU room with Pambo. She is sleeping which is good... when she is awake she is not groovin on the wicked headache. Dr. Casey came around to see her a few minutes ago and checked her level of sensation in her face and told her a few more things to expect in the next day or so like muffled hearing in the left ear because of swelling and maybe some facial numbness for the same reason. Its all good for now though.

So sorry about your sister Mema. I'm happy it's been caught early though. They've got excellent success rates for that type of thing when it's caught early.
