aaaaaah. I checked the log and saw it was a voice track I made yesterday. I thought it would play once (last night when I was testing the mic) and then delete itself. Instead it saved and played as a bumper.
I'm glad the topic came up anyway, because it's a good opening to let you guys know where things stand.
Last night I did some testing and found the problem has actually been Windows Vista all along, not the sound card (although supposedly the RealTek sound cards DO have issues).
My old laptop works perfectly, the mic sounds great. So this weekend I'm going to attempt to transfer everything to the laptop and see if I can get it set up to broadcast.
In fact, I'm backing up all the music files right now so I can move em' to the laptop.
If it all works, and if the station starts showing signs of growth again down the road, I'll install XP on the nice desktop computer so I can use that one instead of the crappy old laptop.
Hopefully by Monday all will be set and I'll be able to kick off a new era of FFR broadcasting with a New Music Monday!
