On Friday, we walked to the rib joint by my house and got dinner and drinks. Then we walked part of the West-town art walk, stopped into a few of the galleries, & got gelato. It was a nice night for a walk.
On Saturday, we headed up to Obriens for brunch and bloody marys. We then continued on with the art walk, first by stopping by a new Chinese import store in the neighborhood, admiring a bunch of really cool hand-crafted imported furniture, and buying a couple of hand-woven Indonesian wicker baskets. We continued on to a free-trade market store, where I bought a cool bongo. Its from Indonesia too. I forgot what I bought Heather? Nothing percussiony....
We then went to the Wauwatosa side of the art walk, picked up a couple of really yummy olive oils, stopped in a few of the other shops and walked around a bit.
We had to head to the pet store, and it was fun to tease the kittens there.
We then went to visit the butcher store where we picked up some real good chicken, proscuttio, moz, and asparagus wraps to grill out for Saturday, then some bacon wrapped tenderloin fillets for Sunday.
We grilled out that night and spent a nice quality quiet evening at home.
On Sunday, we got up & I was treated to a good home-cooked breakfast. We did laundry and went to this drum circle for world peace day thing in Tosa. It was real lame, it was more like let me talk a lot and well drum a little. So we finished our coffees and left.
Sunday night, I grilled out the fillets for dinner, and got in right before the rain started pouring. Couldnt have timed that better. I then had some wine, did the radio shows, and went to bed shortly after.
It was a good weekend, thru and thru.
