Good day all.

It's starting out to be a pretty good day.  Brian made me coffee this morning.  It's raining out, but that's okay, I like a rainy day here and there.

Do you ever have the feeling that the universe is about to change?  Like your life goes through stages, and you can feel when you're in the middle of one of those stages?  The last time I had that feeling, it wasn't necessarily a good one.  But this time, I have the feeling that things are going to be good.

We watched "Knowing" last night. Man, that was a big ol' pile of weirdness.

Today is our last day to get ready for the "Junk Jaunt" sale that starts tomorrow morning. Mrs Web has the day off and she'll be working on that stuff here at the shop today.

Hi, y'all.  Hope everyone is having a nice morning.

 

Mr. DS was not happy with me yesterday for insisting that he go to the ER, but it's a good darn thing that he did because he ended up with 3 more stents (he already had 2).  Two went into an area that was 100% blocked and the other in an area that was 80% blocked.  I guess sometimes a nuclear treadmill doesn't tell you everything, because four weeks ago he did excellent. 

Here is part of our conversation while in the ER monitoring room.  I was filling out paperwork.  One of the questions was about the pain he was experiencing.

 

Mr. DS:  "Well, I hope you're happy."
Me:  confused.gif

Mr. DS:  "You finally got me to the hospital and strapped to a bed."

Me:  As though I didn't hear what he said, "This questions asks, 'How does the pain affect you?', and I say what I pretend I'm writing, "Makes me snide and obnoxious," and give him evileye.gif

 

Mr. DS thinks he will be released today, but I got the feeling from the doctor that it might be tomorrow.  We'll see what the doc says today.

 

Things are good with him now, but I'm still a nervous wreck and I REALLY want to smack him up the backside of his head...

I am glad they got to it before anything really terrible happened DS. I hope he is feeling better. Make sure he calls that hospital he stopped at while he was away, inform them of their missed diagnose and threaten to sue. Perhaps next time they will pay better attention to the next patient when they say something is wrong. Especially when they have a history.

Is there a rule aginst that? Do you have to be nice to a patient? Or do you have to wait a certain amount of time before smacking him?

I'm not sure, but I don't want to wait too long, otherwise the urge might escape me, and I really think he would benefit from a good smack.

Glad to hear things seem to be improving for Mr. DS. Sounds like that was very scary.

My sister's surgery is almost done. The surgeon came out and told us things were going well and that the lab is looking at her lymph node. Assuming that is all good, they will close her up.
