Its about 52 here right now, but its supposed to hit the high 50's, and possibly low 60"s. What was nice is this morning, when I got home from work, I could smell the fall leaves...I love that scent.

Morning all. Cloudy with some ran here this morning. I wasn't exactly sure of the day of the week. But now I know.
How about them Phillies? Our starting pitcher looked great. He quieted the Yankees hitters. It may only be one game, but it was an important one. The Yankees pitcher made two big mistakes and our guy made him pay. Here's hoping that our pitcher tonight masters the Yankees just like last night's game. It would be nice for the Phillies to come home with a 2-0 advantage.

Me too. As a fan, of course I want then to win it all again this year. It may seem a little selfish. But at the same time, I am hoping it will shut a few mouths. Philly sports do not get any respect or credit. Right now, there are a bunch of smug Yankees fans that I would like to silence. I hope last night was an idication that the Phillies can do just that this year. But I must be patient. It was only the first game. The Phils need three more wins this year to bring the trophy home. And then maybe I can get my picture taken with it again.

I think they are a bunch of guys that can do it. I think it may depend upon what Martinez can do tonight. I would like to see him go 7 innings and do exactly what Lee did last night. Hamels worries me a bit. We'll see how he does at home in game 3. It will be a busy sports weekend at the complex. There is 1pm hockey game and a 8pm baseball game Saturday. Then a 1pm football game and a 8pm baseball game on Sunday. And lucky Philly fans, the Giants are coming to town Sunday. So we will have NY fans everywhere.

Hi all. I came home early from work; upset stomach, low grade fever, and generally feeling yucky. I'm hoping it's not that nasty H1N1 that's going around. I didn't/couldn't get the vaccine for that....just the regular flu shot 2 weeks ago. We've got lots of schools closed here this week because of both kinds of flu, but so far the district I work for is still open even though we have a lot of kids out sick. My oldest girl just went to the store to buy come masks, Lysol, and Clorox wipes "just in case you've got it." She said when she gets home she's confining me to my bedroom and that I better stay there. Wonder who died and made her boss?????
