Hi all! Hope all of you have a great Halloween!! What is everyone doing tonight? I'll be home alone......my husband went up to my dad's place with him last night for the weekend, and both girls have parties to go to tonight. Guess I'll have only the ghouls and ghosts to keep me company while I watch scary movies.
We're under high wind advisories today. The last of the leaves have all been blown off the trees so now the trees will be naked for the next 6 months or so. Glad my backyard is fenced.....it's blocking all the neighbors' leaves from blowing into my yard.
I was just telling Web I can't believe how much difference the leaves made on the view out of my apartment. With them there it was quieter, and it looked like I lived out in the country when I'd look out my window. All I saw was greenery.
Now I see two major streets, tons of houses and the traffic noise is much more noticable. I can't wait for the leaves to come back and return my private patio to me.
Been a busy day for me so far. I got up early and drove my friend Marissa to work. Then stopped by my idiot friend's house to help a little with the moving. Just enough to be there, but not enough to completely waste my day.
Since then I have been to Costco and the grocery store and cleaned up the house for tonight. I LOVE HALLOWEEN!! The grandkids are coming over for the annual trick or treating event... they go around my neighborhood. Then we have hot cocoa when they are done for the night. I get a kick out of handing out candy to the neighborhood kids, especially the little ones on their first or second Halloween.
Food wise, I'm having a bit of a mexican buffet... got the big box of mini tacos, flautas, and taquitos. Also making my hot bean dip. Not sure if anyone will want to eat, but I gotta have something for dinner anyway.
