I see a lot of writing in my future for this weekend. Tonight after work, I'm going to get something to eat, then meet up with other authors at Barnes & Noble to write. Tomorrow I'm going to go to Farmer's Market, then to the Runcible Spoon for breakfast and writing. Then stop by the grocery store before heading back to B&N for another write in. Then more writing on Sunday.
I'm hoping to be at least 4666 words ahead of schedule by the end of the weekend.
I also need to start coming to work early again. I've been hitting that snooze button too much. When I come in early, I get some time to myself to ease into the day, putting me in a much better mood. This morning it started as soon as I walked in the door, literally, the door hadn't even shut behind me.
Sounds like a very busy writer's weekend, MZ. Hope all goes as planned. REDRUM... REDRUM... REDRUM...
YAY, Friday! I don't have much planned this weekend. I need to take some of Maranda's stuff to the storage unit and dig out stuff she needs. Cooking a pot of beans; taking Isaac to the library and then the park on Saturday. Sunday, probably go see the in-laws. Nothing terribly exciting...

Yes, it is Friday. Gonna be a fantastic weekend for November in Kansas... sunny and in the 70's. My weekend plans include AGAIN raking up the leaves.
This weekend I am trying something new... making the inconvenient room mate participate in the yard cleanup. The initial negotiations for this were bumpy, but I believe I have successfully secured cooperation. Something about finding himself homeless and sporting a rectally fitted rake did not sound appealing. We have also agreed that, "Certainly I will help you rake the leaves." would have been a far better response than, "You are telling ME about the yard and weather because???"
Meanwhile... back at Camp Happy... can't get to the time reporting system.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
Was there a full moon last night?? Man, some people are absolutely loony tunes today!! On my way into work this morning, I was stopped at a red light and the idiot behind me decided the light was taking too long to turn green so he passed me and went through the red light, hitting two cars that had the green.....since I saw what happened I had to wait around for the police to get there, which made me late for work. So I get to work, explained to my boss why I was late, but she still wrote me up for it, told me that I "shouldn't have gotten involved when I knew it would make me late coming into work." Then on my way home, I stopped at Taco Bell to pick up some lunch. I went in to order because this particular Taco Bell messes up orders when you go through the drive-thru. So I'm waiting for them to call my number and when they do, as I'm heading up to the counter to get it, some guy that was already standing at the counter grabs my order and runs out the door with it. And since I've been home there's been a woman call my house 4 different times for Cocoa Tan. I keep telling her she has the wrong number but the last time I told her that she said "Why are you telling me this is the wrong number?? I know I'm dialing the right number!! Don't you want my business??" I said "Actually, no I don't" and hung up. As I'm typing this, she's called three more times but I'm not answering. What a whacky day!!
So I get to work, explained to my boss why I was late, but she still wrote me up for it, told me that I "shouldn't have gotten involved when I knew it would make me late coming into work."
And that was coming from someone in our education system. Our future is in trouble.
