Are you sure? I thought it was Friday? Oh well, either way it is misting/raining. And that is the way it is supposed to be whether it is Wednesday or Friday.
Here's hoping to an early dismissal (3pm). I could use the time. I have to bake an apple pie this evening. Plus I have to make a stop on the way home that has to be done during government office hours.

I was hoping to head out of here early so I could get to my parents house tonight at a reasonable hour. But people are calling me left and right with rush jobs, and most of them are my boss's, who is out of the office. It's like I'm being punished for being in today. I think next year I'll take Wednesday off. So I'll be working late to handle all these rush jobs that people are sending me, while they go home to spend time with their families.
In preparing to move everything to a new phone (on Friday) I've been working on contact list cleanup.
I'm trying Google "Exchange" (Windows Mobile) sync again. When it first came out, I read of lots of people having problems with it being slow and not reliable. It sounds like its working better now so I'm trying it again. If it proves to be reliable (as it has so far since setting up yesterday), I can get rid of the $9.00/month Exchange hosting service I'm using now.
I got it set up so Gmail is pushing email to my phone as it comes in, and my phone contacts are staying in sync with the Gmail contacts. I also have Thunderbird (my laptop email program) syncing its address book with the Gmail contacts. What that means is my laptop email, Gmail, and phone contact lists are all in sync with the same data now. Yay!
Since everything is in sync with the same data, I'm working on cleaning up my contact list and filling in missing phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, etc that I didn't have.
I only have about 60 contacts that I care to keep info on in my daily use stuff. Sure, I have more business contacts, distant friends, etc that I have listed other places, but I don't want all that info in my everyday list.
Is that a normal amount of people (about 60) to consider your closer friends/family . . . or is only having 60, really low?
Good morning, everyone. Yep, seems like a Friday in the office -- they're all in a panic and rushing around like something is going to happen .
Same thing happens around here MZ. The SHE BOSS only works 2 half days a week. If she thinks something is too time consuming or menial (or if she has to get up off her butt), she gives it to someone else so she can get out as early as possible on those 2 days. But on the other hand, I know which side of her bread to butter if I need something.

Oh, cool . . . I found an calendar program add-on (extension) for Thunderbird that gives Thunderbird an embedded calendar. Then, I found another add-on that will sync that calendar with Gmail, which also syncs with my phone.
Cool, its like all the benefits of Outlook/Exchange without the cost. Plus, Thunderbird handles IMAP email 100 times better than Outlook.
Good day, all. I've been up since early getting the house cleaned for company. Figured I best do that early since my daugher-in-law called a couple days ago and threatened to show up and help me cook today. Pretty sure that is not going to happen, but I wanted to get the cleaning and organizing done early just in case.
I've got most of the stuff knocked out anyway. Gotta make the stuffing and deviled eggs tonight. Likely will get the veggie and relish trays together too. Seems like I'm forgetting something, but I don't know what it would be.
Ah well, Wednesday on!

Oh no, if you forget something, someone might starve! *sarcasm*
That is exactly what I'm afraid of! (kidding)
No, I just take great pride in making this holiday special for all those who are part of it with me. Some of the reason it takes so long and I make so much stuff is that if I know there is something someone who will be in attendance is particularly fond of I try to make sure it is here for them.

As I suspected... no sign of the DIL. Just as well. I'm going to have to skip out in about an hour to go meet the BFF and his wife for coffee and to deliver them their cookies, then off to the BBQ joint to pick up the turkey and something for dinner tonight.
