  I am still beating my head in

Kiss was here Tuesday night last week. I had the chance to be there and see the concert UPCLOSEANDPERSONAL    and a family emergency came up and i had to cancel.


Thats all I got today. ITs cold

Heck yeah its cold! 9* here... first thing I heard on the weather update when I woke up was "...wind chill factor makes it feel like -4". I want no part of that! Alas, I must go to work today.

Still not awake yet. yawn.gif Imagine wakefullness won't kick in til I hit the beyond frozen air.

Howdy.

Its a loverly -14 (actual temp) this morning. Fortunately there is no wind yet. Yay us.

The boy's program went well last night. It was called "Elfis". It was about a musical elf. The boy was Rudolf and he was excited because he got to keep the blinking red nose.

Dang, its cold.

Just checking in.  I've been very busy at work -- not unusual for this time of year.  I want to play, but THE MAN keeps the whip cracking hmm

Tonight is the first grade Christmas program (I think they call it "holiday program"), and tomorrow is Mr. DS and my 15th wedding anniversary, so we'll celebrate tonight with dinner at the cafe and a show afterwards  wink 

Oh, and it's Happy Tuesday  ashamed,   No, he won't be THAT lucky! laughing.gif

Y'all have fun while I take my beating...

I called and left a message on his cell's voice mail. He called back during lunch. He's pretty excited and said he'd stop after basketball practice (about 5:00pm) and pick it up. He will still have to wire it up. I'm going to make him let me have a listen once he gets it installed.

Two 12" woofers in the cab of a pickup should provide enough bass.

Here's what we did.

Its not too fancy, its just MDF board. He said he wanted to paint it or possibly cover it with some camo material.

This is the box upside down with just one speaker mounted:

Then, this is how it actually sits under the back seat. There is a hump in the floor in the middle but that leaves the two speakers on each end "down firing" toward the floor of the cab.

The feet are made out pieces cut from a broken tool handle. I don't remember if it was a shovel or what exactly that came from.

I hope it fits like its supposed to. hmm.gif

I think that annoying thumping bass is what the nephew is going for.

The van sounds good now. Its not that annoying thumping bass, it is just right for what I needed in there. I need to make me some more CDs from my mp3 files though. I've been listening to the same music for a while now.

It surprises me how much music I listen to. It only takes me about five minutes to get to work, but going to work, home for lunch, back, back home in the afternoon, plus small errand side trips, seems to go through a CD pretty fast.
