Good day, all. I've no clue what the temp is... my weather feed just says n/a. On the up side, its supposed to get up to the mid 40's this afternoon.
Its a WFH day for me and I've got a vacation day tomorrow. Do have to go meet my team for our holiday lunch/staff beating in a little while. That should be okay. Otherwise looks like a quiet day for me.

I think I will make a cup of tea and think about taking a nap.

Revise that, I just went through my mail and found more invoices (I don't normally invoice the customer for promotional products until the manufacturer invoices me). I'm at 4". Billing will be the rest of my afternoon.
I'm almost through all the emails that required database updating. I'm about 1/2 way through the order sheets that I need to get put into the database and Quickbooks . . . THEN I can start billing. I hope to be caught up by Christmas. Ugh.
Yay, I got most of my billing done! I have a nice handful of job tickets all for the same customer, and one that I need a paper price on, but I think I'll take care of that in the morning.
Yeah, but I have two extensive design projects that I didn't work on while billing. And I have a stack of quotes that I need to either file or throw out.
For some reason it seemed like a really long week even though it was an easy week at work. It was mid-year graduation and mid-terms, so the students were too busy studying and worrying about graduation to use the Recreation Center much. That meant they left my basketball courts and other areas alone for the most part.
But I think I was just looking forward too much. The next two weeks will be three day work-weeks. That's gonna be AWESOME. And the days I do work the building is essentially closed so it should be very easy maintenance work ahead.
I did get some bad news last night. A guy I work with now and then didn't show up for work. They found out he had died earlier in the day of a heart attack. Only 47 years old with three kids and a wife. Sad news so close to Christmas. I feel really bad for the family.
He seemed to be in decent shape too. You just never know. When it's your time it's your time.
Probably should have led my post off with that instead of ending on such a bummer of a note.
