Tonight we're having a party for some neighbors, tomorrow I travel up to my sister's party, Sunday I bring her back with me, Monday we celebrate Solstice and Elizabeth and I will do some more Christmas shopping, Tuesday we'll wrap those gifts, Wednesday we'll make chocolates, Thursday we'll travel back up and start the Christmas visits.
Good morning, all. I'd planned on sleeping in, but my phone had other plans for me. Woke up to an incoming picture mail from my sister asking if her latest scarf makes her "look like I ought to be making pancakes?". Nah... its cute. Then a request from a friend for a ride to work in a little while. Guess I should get me up and moving.
Fuzzy... I hope its a short day for you. According to the weather report I saw there is a big snow storm headed your way. Please be careful on your way home. Really hoping all of our east coast friends fare okay today.
Web... good luck with your billing.
Mz... enjoy your time with your sister.

I'm also uber-productive so far today. I finished up billing and went through my quotes and designs pile. I checked in 2 orders, called one customer to pick his up and made up a delivery slip for the other. I made a correction to a proof and sent it back. I've got 2 large design projects for this afternoon, but I think I'm going to be in a good spot to get one done and good progress on the other.
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.
Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.
We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost. A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason it seemed like a really long week even though it was an easy week at work. It was mid-year graduation and mid-terms, so the students were too busy studying and worrying about graduation to use the Recreation Center much. That meant they left my basketball courts and other areas alone for the most part.
But I think I was just looking forward too much. The next two weeks will be three day work-weeks. That's gonna be AWESOME. And the days I do work the building is essentially closed so it should be very easy maintenance work ahead.
I did get some bad news last night. A guy I work with now and then didn't show up for work. They found out he had died earlier in the day of a heart attack. Only 47 years old with three kids and a wife. Sad news so close to Christmas. I feel really bad for the family.
He seemed to be in decent shape too. You just never know. When it's your time it's your time.
Probably should have led my post off with that instead of ending on such a bummer of a note.
Try to have a great day regardless!
I wonder if there's more heart attacks around Christmas. One of the guys that works in the shop is in the hospital today, they think he had a heart attack. He's one of my favorite coworkers, we're always picking on each other. He gives me the "I'm watching you" sign, and I tell him to bite me. I hope he's okay.
Hi all. I finally got my Christmas shopping done today! I was beginning to wonder when the heck I was gonna have time to finish it. While I was in Barnes & Noble today I saw a book I'd love to have......it's the Halo Encyclopedia....everything a fan of the games wants to know about the games. I was sooo tempted to buy it for myself but decided I can wait until after Christmas to get it.
The sky looks like it wants to snow today. Weatherman says it will tomorrow.
