To the fathers-

Hey how was your father's day? What'd y'all do, eat, get, etc??

I took my 91 yr old grandma out to my folks house- about 55 miles out of town. We grilled out ribs for dinner, the weather was perfect. I got my dad a bottle of B&B so we had a couple of them for desert. Everyone is well, folks and grandma. I am very thankful for that- it was really a perfect day!

I spent Saturday with my folks visiting an aunt (mentioned in another thread).  Sunday there was a muscle car show at our church, we went to see our horse, and then went to "Revenge of the Sith".  I hit the sack pooped and happy.

I baked my dad cookies, (like I said I would, and he loved them), and took them to him.  He lives abut 2 hours away, and I was apparently getting an infection at the time, so I didn't get to stay as long as I like, but I think he had a good time anyway.

I spent most of Sunday at the track watching history being made by F1. Hanging with the Commodores was cool. Then I went home and had a nice dinner with the family.

My day was a good one.  I was able to sleep in but got awake at 7 am wide awake.  My son, age 11 treated me at an Oriental Buffett for lunch.  He and I visited my father in law for a couple of hours and then we went to the airport and picked up my wife and daughter who flew back home from Alaska.  Next weekend my wife is taking the kids to eastern Oregon to visit family and I am staying home and enjoying some peace and quiet.
