Merry Christmas Eve

I thought I would stop twice in one week and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I hope EVERYBODY has a great Christmas!

I was hoping they'd be wrong and it would stay cold enough to continue snowing, but no luck. Looking out my window I see the snow has turned to rain. What an ugly mess this is gonna be. no.gif

Merry Christmas to all!

Well, JR... its raining here for now, but that is now apparently switching over to sleet which will turn to snow this afternoon. Looks like we are forecast for 3-6 inches of snow between tonight and tomorrow. Not a big amount comparatively speaking, but yucky none the less.

Looks like a quiet day at my house... since the greater family gathering was cancelled last night as Topeka is supposed to get 5-9 inches of snow tonight, I had planned to make a dinner for Chris, Anna, and the grandkids. Anna called a little bit ago to inform me that they too were going to have to cancel as Marshall is sick. She figures the rest of the family will be down in short order. blankstare.gif Ah well..

Its disappointing, but really for the best with the storm. They live about a 40 minute drive north of me. I'd be horribly worried about them being out on the roads. Whatever weather I get, they usually get much worse at their place. It would be out of the question for Jeremy, Debbie, and Walker to come up... they live an hour and a half southeast of here in Missouri, way out in the country where the roads really don't get any kind of treatment.

We will get together over the weekend.

You got plans tonight JR?

I'll be going over to my dad's.  My brothers are coming in tonight too.  It will be good to see them. smile

Just opening gifts with the immediate family later.

There's a bigger family get together earlier tonight, but I think I'll skip that one. Don't feel like driving the half hour to get there.

We have not decided if we are going to venture out to church for the Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5:30 or not. We both feel it would be nice to go, but it would also be ok to lock ourselves in and stay home too.

We are going to open our gifts with just the three of us tonight. Tomorrow evening (weather permitting) we will go out to the farm (dad's) for supper and more gift opening with them and her daughter's family.

Christmas Eve on!

Had myself a nice Christmas Eve dinner... I thank me for making it. smile.gif Was going to try to catch the Midnight Mass from St Peter's Basillica... held of course at 10:30... but the only station broadcasting it is not one that I get. hmm.gif Figured it might be a little more popular and possibly on another station.

I hope you helped yourself clean up afterward and gave yourself a hand with the dishes.  It's the least you could do after you prepared such a nice feast for yourself!  nod.gif

I sure did! Even put all the dishes away so they aren't waiting there for me in the morning when I get up to go see what I bought me for Christmas. giggle.gif

My family got me "Madden 10" for the PS3. This means I can play football against JR over the internet.

I sense a big Steelers vs. Packers game coming up soon. First, I gotta learn how to kick better. From what little I've played so far, I suck at kicking. hmm.gif

The boy is working in his 953 pc "Lego City Garage". He's tried but doesn't want to give up until he finishes the part he's working one.
