It is the wee, small hours of Christmas morning. The winter storm is still blowin' and goin' outside. Hard to tell if it is actually still snowing, but there is snow blowing everywhere.
I watched the Midnight Mass from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. It was a beautiful service. I'm thinking now I should probably get me some sleep.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Thanks so much for being part of my life.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
It's currently dark out with freezing rain and everything is glistening. I'm the only one awake at my house, and I'm sitting with only the lights of the Christmas tree on, listening to George Winston's December album. I'm feeling very peaceful right now. Even though the weather is icky, it's a beautiful Christmas morning.
I want to thank you all for your friendship!! I feel truly blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life! Merry Christmas!!
Having Christmas dinner with a little extended family in about an hour and a half, then I'll be in for the night, probably listening to Freeze-Frame, drinking a few Jack & Cokes and finishing up reading a new book I got last night. (It's a short, maybe 10 hour read and I'm about half way through).
