What'd ya get for Christmas?

I thought it would be fun to share some of the cool stuff you got for Christmas.

As for me, I got Season 5 of Saturday Night Live on DVD (1979-1980).  Now I've got all five of the original seasons (four of them having been Christmas gifts over the years).

A cool Brewers skin for my iPhone.

I also received two books from Glenn Beck, one of them being "The Christmas Sweater" which isn't political at all.  It's a novel loosely based on his life story.  A nice, short, holiday read that I expect to finish up later tonight already.

I also got some gift cards and a little cash.

How about you guys?

OH!  An indirect Christmas gift I got was Web receiving Madden 10!  Now I can take him on in BLOOD BOWL 2010!!!!

Buwah ha ha ha ha!

LOL - Mrs Web even said "In a way, its partially a gift to JR too."

Thats all I've gotten so far, the Madden 10 game. There will be more once we get together after the blizzard is over.

I did play one full game of football. I was the Cowboys and I played the Browns to give myself a better chance. I won 17-0. smile.gif

My dad got me my first laptop. I love it! My husband got me the Wii Fit plus and we got little E the Wii console. I also got a pair of sapphire earrings. We had a nice day. We are going to NC Sunday- Wednesday to get out of town and hopefully see some snow, but we may not be so lucky. We will go tubing one day and we will be guaranteed to see fake snow! Stupid blizzard!

I got an awesome pair of gloves from my dear friend Fuzzy... they have skulls on them. I love them... wore them today in fact. smile.gif From my sister I got a pair of fancy leather gloves with fur trim, and an apron with "If you don't talk to your cat about catnip, who will?" printed on it. The roomie borrowed money off of me to get me a new GPS since he absconded with the one he gave me a few years ago. weirdface.gif And of course courtesy of the BFF Doug I went to the last 2 Chiefs home games... one in his company.

All pretty cool, but best of all has been hearing from my friends and family today. Getting loved on, even from afar, is the best gift one could get.

I got a couple of new t-shirts.....Insane Clown Posse and Ferris State Univ.; a package of 12 Coffees of Christmas, a heated potpourri....it lights up inside when you plug it in.  My girls went together and got me a new video game for the Xbox 360--Halo ODST. clap.gif And a very awesome friend of mine bestowed an act of random kindness on me and gave me a gift card so I could get the Halo Encyclopedia; the book arrived on Wednesday but I didn't open it until last night.  Very cool book!!! clap.gif

Oh, and the penguin had fun hanging out with me and my family this Christmas. biggrin

Dang, the picture I uploaded was here, now it's not. hmm I'll try to upload it again later.

Well, I had to wrestle you away from her and I DID dry you off.  Now you're safely out of her reach.  smile

Oh, I also got some cash too for Christmas.  I'm gonna use it to buy a new Xbox 360 since mine died a few months ago. I know you'd like me to get a PS3 so you, Web, and I could play together, but we have too many 360 games now to go that way.

I understand.

You're saying you're too scared to play Web n' I in Madden.

No shame in admitting your fears. smile.gif

evileye I'm not scared cuz I know I'd kick your butt in video games!

Well, maybe not in football because I haven't played any of those type of games.  I tend to like first person shooters.  Now if we were playing one of those, you'd be dead in a matter of seconds. winkbiggrin

Hey Sandy, I'm glad you had a good day. smile.gif

I've never played a FPS game so I know I'd die very quickly.

I played another game of football and playing as the Steelers, the Titans kicked my butt bad.

I don't know Sandy, I'm quick like a cat in those FPS games.

I started a season in Madden. Played the Bears in the season opener and whooped em' 33 - 14. At one point I had a 21 - 0 lead.

Then I played the Bengals and barely squeaked out a 7 - 0 win. Should have been a 10 - 0 win but my kicker missed a really easy field goal. hmm.gif

At any rate, the season is off to a much better start than the last one I played. I went 5 - 11 that time.

I gotta get the rust off so I can start playing Web. I also need to do a rematch with Dylan because he came over here and beat me the very first time he played. no.gif

Brian had a doll made for me. I'm not normally a doll type of person, but this is more the type you might expect to see in a model for a Tim Burton movie. The friend who made her makes props and masks for movies, and he made her just for me based on what Brian said he wanted:

I also got the first 3 Sandman books by Neil Gaiman, The Dark Crystal, Up, World of Warcraft game time, a black sweater which I am wearing today, a Brandon Bernstein hooded pullover sweatshirt, and a few gift cards.

If I ever come to Bloomington to visit I'm stayin' in a hotel.  There's NO WAY I'd let you talk me into staying on your couch or floor with THAT thing in the house!

And to think I was picked on for my toothy tomato avatar.  no.gif

Not much to report. We haven't exchanged presents in years. We are poor. hmm

My mother-in-law always gives us Christmas money before leaving for Arizona tho.

I bought a Xyron Creative Station which helps me with adhesive for my cards. i wish I had that when I started those Christmas cards!! I also want to get a smaller one. I haven't decided what else yet. DH bought walkies for hunting with his money.

Despite the no presents rule my Mom got us some sort of magnetic laundry system that replaces detergent. i never heard of it before.

I also got some baked goodies from a twitter friend

Hey Woo, have you ever thought of selling your hand-made cards for rich folks that have weddings and stuff?

You could charge a pretty penny for hand-made invites I bet, especially if you market em' to the wealthy folk!

I don't know about rich folks laughing.gif but I've thought about selling them. The legalities of it always keeps me from pursuing. If I use so & so's stamps then I have to mark it with one of their designated stamps and blah blah blah. Plus I haven't had much time to do them. I didn't even start my Christmas cards until November! I would have normally started around labor day.
Maybe some day I will.

heather made the blanket for me. started it late last year and then worked on it from time to time throughout this year.smile

ya the other gifts are awesome too.smile

I do feel fortunate.

A nice gift from riggs was to help me get the rocking chair I bought heather over to my place. It wouldn't fit in my car and he helped out with his van.

I got a KISS throw blanket, and some KISS Travel Mugs from my sister.

Got 3 cool shirts. Two from movies I love: "Phantom of the Paradise", "Trick Or Treat" and one from the TV show I love, "The Venture Bros."

My Mom bought me this lovely new Bon Jovi book:

Hand-made unique doll is cool. If you are into the Tim Burton type stuff, that is a really neat idea.
