I'm up to get my  dose of exercise. I know that I may not be able to come back til I get home. Back to work and after two weeks off and being short a position, we'll be swamped. Man  I hate to think of waking Emily up soon, she can sleep in now. But she printed out some snow pix and that may just be the motivator.

Good mornin' Ruby and the rest of the FFReaks!

Just checking a few things online before trying to get a little sleep. I gotta get up around 9ish to take care of a few things for the funeral.

It's weird when someone dies on a holiday right before a weekend. Nothing really gets done until the following Monday. They were able to notify the funeral director that we'd need their services, but that was it. Today we start really getting everything set up.

Indeed it is Monday. All good things must come to an end, SO I am up and getting ready to go to work. giggle.gif

Its 5* (feels like -8) outside according to my weather feed. Apparently it is not supposed to snow today, but one source says it will on Tuesday and Wednesday... Wednesday being near blizzard conditions... the other says Wednesday night into Thursday and Friday will be the bad days. I'm hoping the second souce (NOAA) is the more correct. Several schools in the area are closed today, I'd guess because of the cold. Its gonna be a long winter and short summer for them if they are closing schools over this. Looks like the rest of the week isn't going to be much better.

Fuzzy... sorry about your Eagles. Harsh. Hope you are feeling better.

JR... Wish I had some words of advice for you, but setting up funeral arrangements is not a pleasant task. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Ugh, funeral arrangements are so hard. Good luck JR!

Mema, even when I lived up north, and when I was a kid, school would close if the temp was below 0 or if the wind chill was below a certain amount. I think the rationale is that there's too many kids without coats waiting at bus stops.

Thanks for the kind words MZ, it is good to be back. I need some more friendly interaction in my life, so I will try to be back more. This place still feels like home.

I heard the whole country is cold. We have been in the 20-40s for one week and it is only going to get colder this week. That has never happened here.

Stay warm... I need to go, I have to pick up a certified letter from the Department of Social Services... we put my son in rehab and now they are in our lives. Not sure what they want now... It has been a rough 2009, praying 2010 will be better!

Still praying for you JR. Is this your mom's mom or dad's?

Hi ya.

Yup, cold here too.

I'm back in the office after a week and-a-half at home with the vacation kid. He seemed kind of excited to get back to school. I think he was wanting to get back to be with his friends again. I gotta admit that I was looking forward to getting back into a normal routine myself.

I set up a FaceBook page for our church yesterday. Man was that an ordeal. They sure don't make it very intuitive.

Morning folks. I too, like a few here, am finally back in the office. I think I have started a new tradition for the nerw year. For the second year in a row, I had a lousy cold to start the new year. But I am feeling better now.

Uh oh, funeral arrangements. I must go read to see what I missed.

Thanks M. The Eagles just flat out didn't show up to play. They had so much to play for, a division title, home field advantage, an extra week off. They better show up next week or it will be just as bad.

Interesting... I don't recall the schools here ever being closed because of cold. Snow, yes... but not cold.

In other football commentary, it should be noted that the Chiefs actually did improve their record this year over last year... they actually won their last game, for a total of 4 wins for the season.

My Dad's mother Ruby. 

Thanks for all the words of encouragement everyone.  My aunt is doing all the heavy lifting on this one, I just agreed to help out with getting some flowers and stuff.   Nothing really big.

Mema, we were cold here last night but not THAT cold.  I always thought that anyone to the south was always at least slightly warmer than we were.  Guess I know nuthin' about nuthin'.  smile.gif

It looks like we will be in the negative temps almost every night this week. Right now its 9* here. Looks like we are right about 10* colder than you.
