All these teams have had good teams and great players, some now, some then.
The Philadelphia Eagles - as diappointing as they can be at times - are still my team. No where else are you able to find the best cheesteaks and the most vocal fans (good or bad). While they may only have one championship, they have several division titles - including four in a row. But only the Eagles can be the team that should win the NFC championship and blow it three years in a row. Only in Philly sports.
Long live the Birds!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, there JR. Watch that "invoking the name of The Lord" stuff. His trademark is raising up the lowly and crowning the meek in glory. You keep pushing it and were going to watch the Arizona Cardinals hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Besides, the Georgia Bulldogs have the same logo, and they play on Saturday, so there goes your theory.
Do you get the message, Ultimo? We love our brand of football as much as you guys love yours.
The Colts came to Indianapolis because the city wanted them to come. And we love them so much we're building them a new stadium with a retractable roof. I will admit we can't match the tradition of the Bears and Packers but given time we will. We don't play the Packers this season. We have the Bears in preseason on August 20th.
Ray, yes, yes there is. You know how rowdy Philly fans can get. If you do something stupid enough to get you arrested, they will talk care of it there. Much easier that having to relocate people and book them at the local station. Just remember, our fans were the ones who throw snowballs at Santa years and years ago. We are very passionate about our sports in this city.
And I played soccer for close to 15 years and coached for another five. I have been away from it for two years and it is driving me crazy. I started to play in an indoor league this winter but blew out my knee. Bummer.

Are you going to try to play again? I hope you can. I would like to play but now I have a hip that the doctor says will need to be replaced by the time I'm 53. Eight years. He told me no running, jogging and when I golf to ride a cart and I might be able to go longer that 53. My hip feels fine but when I do a lot of walking I feel it. So I get my bike out and ride instead.
Not that I have moved I will probably go back to coaching in the fall. I have ACL problems, so I don't think I could actually play myself anymore. I am a goalkeeper, so I am probably done. Unless we are just goofing off. If I took some weight off I probably would be better too.

My daughter plays forward and mid. She likes forward better. She isn't the biggest kid out there. She has girls head and shoulders taller than her. However she doens't back down form any of them. I sure that 's why the coach plays her. All but four from her team will play high school soccer this fall. She has to play down this fall since she'll be in 8th grade. I really enjoy watching. It's kind of like baseball with all the strategy involved.
Thanks for all your arguments for and against all your respective teams, you all have good points for your teams but I had thought about it all weekend and all I can say is
And consider this, where would you want to go after a game? To the local dive bar in Indy or Green Bay, or up and down The Magnificent Mile? Come on, The Art Institute, The Opera House, The John Handcock building, 5 star restaurants wherever you turn, you can't beat it! And I don't recall Saturday Night Live creating a bit about the Indy fans, or the Green Bay fans. No, my friend, it was Da Suuuuperrr Fanz!! "Daaaaa Bears, da Bears, da Bears, da Bears!"
And I would say that I'm SURE those Bears fans go directly from the game to one of those fancy 5 star restaurants as opposed to the local dive bar right? COME ON! If they DO infact do that then there's just ONE MORE reason to dislike them!
As for the SNL sketch, THEY WERE MAKING FUN OF YOU GUYS!!! It wasn't meant to be endearing! They showed every Bears fan weighing 350 lbs, stuffing their faces NOT at a five star restaurant I might add, but at what appeared to be the local Buffalo Wing joint.
This is your badge of honor? This is your evidence that Da Bears are the better team to root for?!?
Man, can you IMAGINE the rhetoric on this forum for the first Packers/Bears matchup this fall?!?!?!
I didnt realize you were being courted for your allegiance to one of our National Football League teams. I am glad you are interested, it is a great sport.
I have to say, the Colts have a great quarterback and a head coach I truly admire. You picked a club steeped in tradition and capable of good things.
You didnt choose the Packers, the team which symbolizes excellence, having won the most championships in NFL history. They have won their division three years in a row.
You didnt pick the Bears, another team rich in tradition but currently rebuilding. At least you showed some semblance of sanity by steering clear of this shipwreck.
You didn't choose the Eagles. A team that has contended for a championship the last 4 years. Despite the fact they have their own jail in the stadium. These fans have booed Santa Claus and pelted him with snow balls. (What a selling point Confuzzed!)
Training camp starts in a month, so start gearing up for your inaugural season. If you have any questions on rules etc, feel free to ask...Welcome to the NFL.
Please join with Star, Assison, and I. We have a new common enemy.
Ray.
This will break my daughter's heart, but I'm finding it very easy to dislike horses. Gather the Wisconsin football militia, I'll get the Illinois pigskin troops, we'll converge at the Chcago Skyway. We storm Indiana at dawn. Let's add some black to his blue.
Now come on, Ray has been civilized and hasn't even called any Packers or Bears fans any names. I think he's the fairest person here at the moment. (Plus, he sensible. I mean come on, you gotta like the Colts...)
Ray, we'll handle any assaults from our own division just fine. Besides, the Vikings are the only threat. Detroit? Please.
Dylan, I'm assuming you mean Minnisota. I think we can get MnMel to do a little commando work for us, she doesn't like football. What say Mel? How are you with itching powder and stink bombs?
