A couple days ago I heard a discussion on the radio about just how long 1,000,000 seconds was & as a joke they started counting down, which got me thinking about the count down thread. Yesterday I ordered Domino's pizza & realized the number was being held up by the FFR Magnet I have on the fridge. Then I turned on football today & started watching GB ARI and again thought about FFR. I was like.. I gotta check in & see how things are going...

Yeah!
The reminders are everywhere!
A lot of the old crew has been stopping by lately. One person we haven't seen though is Trish. I wonder how she's doing.
Well, you still got baseball season. I think the Cubs will be a much better club with Bradley out of the picture now.
I thought they were very foolish for ever bringing him into the fold to begin with.
Why they ever got rid of DeRosa, I'll never know... Next year though, the guy they got for bradley isn't much better. It's like having a car with a flat rear tire & exchaging it for the exact same car, but with a flat front tire, then thinking things have been fixed...
lol. Yeah, Silva is horrible. But at least he's not a cancer personality-wise.
With the money owed Bradley they didn't have much choice.
I've always been amazed at the Cubs management unwillingness to factor personality issues into their decision making.
Now they're locked into a bad contract with Soriano, still paying dearly for Bradley. Their biggest stars are on the downside of their careers. The futures not real bright on the north side of Chicago.
But I do think they'll be better without Bradley than they were with him.
Seeing your sig, what is Chuck about... I haven't seen an episode & have been thinking about checking it out...(just saw my first episode of "Lost" on the Netflix)
It's a really cool show about an average (but smart) nerd that works at the Buy More (Best Buy) in the Nerd Herd (Geek Squad) division.
He dropped out of Stanford but his buddy who had become a spy for the CIA sent him an email moments before he died after being shot.
When Chuck opened the email a secret government program called the intersect was downloaded into Chucks head, making him a human super-computer with knowledge of all things spy. Now when a bad dude walks by, or he see's something related to bad dudes, he "flashes" and all the information relating to that person or item is in his head.
He's got two CIA handlers who's job it is to keep him safe, while using him to capture bad guys.
Casey (Adam Baldwin) is great as a Reagan loving tough guy that tries to never show any emotions. Sarah Walker is the hot CIA agent that's kind of fallen for Chuck, but can't do anything about it because she's in the CIA.
The first two seasons Chuck was mostly a screw-up, but this season he's got an update to the intersect that will give him skills he needs (thought they say he'll still screw up a lot).
There's a lot of cool subplots at the Buy More too.
It's really just an awesome cast and a fun show with a real 80's angle to it.
Double episode to kick of the season tonight from 8 - 10 on NBC. Check it out if you have the time.
Wow, last time I was here, the presidency was still monochromatic, the Black Hawks still sucked, no one even knew a Lingerie football league existed, Jay Leno was the host of the Tonight show & there was only 1 live action Transformers Movie... Boy how times have changed...
