I was going to have one for you, but it turns out they are ok . . . our church supports a missionary family in Haiti that live close to where the earthquake hit hardest. Her parents live here and got word that they are ok.

He (the missionary) is in (I don't remember the name right now) a pilot mission group that they fly supplies back into the rough parts of the country. He did a presentation one time when they were here and showed some of the places where he has to take off and land. Yikes, that is a risky job.

If you're not only doing burdens, it could be a praise item that Will, Julie, and their two kids were not hurt in the earthquake.

I think they made need prayers for a burden though- think of the region and what everyone will have to deal with.

Web I could use your help. Listen at church this weekend and all we need is a name and a burden- finances, health, job security, the list is endless. I am sure you and Lori have one too. I have a family of five and we could fill up the poster.

WITHOUT trying to start WW3 , and WITHOUT saying whose right or wrong the
reason I ask is -
With the current " PC " climate in public schools , I'm not so sure bringing ANY
religious ANYTHING into a public school is going to lead to anything but grief for those
involved NO MATTER how good their intentions are.

Case in point - I recently read ( about a week or 2 ago ) about some kids that went on a field trip and when they came back the teacher had them do some drawings about it.
One kid drew a cross (keep in mind this was near Christmas ) that he had seen on the trip. Next thing you know the kid is taking a letter home saying that he needed
" counciling " , and the letter had more than 1 signature on it. I'm not making this up ( I couldn't if I tried ).
And that is why I was asking.

I understand what you're getting at Lee, but I'm pretty sure that if the school goes all "PC" on Emily... Ruby will eloquently rip 'em a new one!

I think Emily is equipped to do that too. Part of being a Christian is knowing that some do not know God or believe what they hear and as a result we can be persecuted. I also know that God protects us from that. Maybe not in this life, but in the next. So it is all good. Our Pastor is thoroughly convinced Emily wants his job!

Send me burden DS, although I know yours all too well!

You too Dave, I am sure you have something we could pray for.

I must say I am shocked that she did not get a better response here. I have received emails all day from people I have never met and they do not know me at all, only heard of this project. It really touched me and it will her when I get home. I have not even taken this to my church family yet. I have a feeling I'll hit the 100 mark before the week is out.

Well , you can always pray that I get AA in the BB with a PFR and 2 callers in front of me.

This is more of a physical burden than a mental one .

My hands are toooooo big for todays world. Example - years ago cars were bigger and I could work on the engines with no problem . Now I can barely get them under the hood.
Its so frustrating when I'm staring at the part in question but can't get to it because my hands wont fit in the space around it.

Is this OK or do you want a mental one ?

We're supposed to love others as Christ loves us, but that is not something that comes easy for me. Its easy to love the lovable, but very difficult to love those who seem to purposely make it difficult . . . God says "do it anyway" . . . my nature says "but I can justify my reaction" . . . God says "do it anyway" . . . "but he's a complete tool" . . . "do it anyway" . . . "but she purposely hurt me" . . . "do it anyway".

Reacting first out of love at the initial time of anger, frustration, or hurt is a real struggle for me.

1) Wisdom for our President and his advisors

2) Safety for our soldiers

3) Guidance to help me be a better mother, daughter, sister, friend, Christian, and American

4) Paul and I pray for God's guidance while we are dating and trying to figure out how to blend two families together.
