What is your current favorite toy?

Now that we all know what we liked as kids, what about now?

For us it is our boat. We have a 19' Seafox. We get a lot of use out of it. There are a lot of little islands offshore that we go to. We load up the boat and head out. It's like going to a private beach.

I guess my computer too! And if my son allows, I like his PS2.

I guess for me its my library. I have all these books that I've been meaning to read or re-read and slowly but surely I am working away at them. Its literally a room that could be filled with books. I like to grab one, head down by this river by my house with a lawn chair and a beer or two and just sit and read.

Oh my record player kicks butt too!

Probably my ipod. I don't know how I ever lived without one.

The only time I'm not using it is when I'm listening to the station. Otherwise, when I exercise, cut the lawn, drive someplace, WHATEVER I'm doing, I usually have the ipod on me.

JR-
I'm with you on the iPod. I use mine all the time too. I'm looking forward to driveing to Florida knowing that I'll never hear the same song twice. Unless I want too. I just figured out how to listen to FFR on my home stero without running wires all over. Check out my genius post.

Isn't that the COOLEST!

You hit that shuffle button and you got 3000 or more songs to listen to before you hit a repeat.

And you KNOW you like em all because YOU put em on there!

I've always been a techno geek, and I bought one of the early mp3 players. It was this huge ARCHOS brand player, it had a 20 gig hard drive, was REALLY heavy, about 7" by 6" by 3" (pretty bulky) and it used four AA batteries in only about 2 hours! Plus it made a horrible sound as it searched the hard drive for the song. It had a two line, 10 character display, no shuffle feature and the navigation system was a mess. I usually would give up trying to find my songs.

I paid about $500 for that thing, so when Ipod came out I waited a couple years before diving in because I was leary of the technology.

I was so pleasantly surprised to find that they did just about EVERYTHING right, the ipod is a modern marvel!

My current favorite toy would have to be my computer.  (Plus, I don't have an iPod yet!)

I Have a self modelling amp that has several computer boards in it to become over 300 different amps acoustically...the Fender Cyber Twin.  Quite the palette of sounds to play with.

From a practical standpoint I'd have to go with the radial arm mitre saw I got for Christmas, smoooooooth!  From akid standpoint it's my Super Soaker.  We bought squirt guns a few years ago and I made sure I got the biggest one.  Packs a whollup.

(OK, go ahead, have a field day with that last one)

No teasing here. We have an arsenal at my home. All the biggest and the best. You got to cool off somehow!

Isn't technology wonderful? I enjoy my Ditial Jukebox. It is Dell's version of the Ipod. Like JR, it goes with me during my workouts and yardwork. And before I found FFR, I used it heavily at work.
