I hope no one banned him. I honestly wasn't offended. Takes a lot more than calling me the b-word to offend me... that's even my nickname at the office. As I have stated a number of times, I fully believe in and support freedom of speech. Lee-Dave has a right to call me the b-word if he wants to. Unfortunately for him, I just don't happen to take that as an insult, so as a retort to my retort to his commentary I was disappointed.
I saw Lee-Dave online a while ago when I got home from dealing with the family stuff. Unless someone banned him after that, he hasn't been banned.
Perhaps the perpetually snarky comments about women being shallow, materialistic, and generally evil are supposed to be funny. They come across, however, as Lee-Dave would say mean spirited...also sexist and as if someone is looking to trade spades. These comments being directed at my posts, I'm happy to oblige. I just won't generally insult a group of people for the actions, words, or behaviors of one or a few.
Bottom line: Don't start none, won't be any.

To Lee-Dave's point... If you guys want to ban me, just tell me. I'll accept my punishment like a big girl and with no hard feelings.

No one had banned the guy until I did it an hour or so ago. He couldn't have PM'd me if he were banned, but apparently that fact slipped his mind.
Bottom line is this, the FFR forum is a place to hang out and have fun with one another. We can have our differences (and often do) but we can be respectful of one another when we have those differences.
Dave left days before being banned once before because he's incapable of treating anyone in a respectful manner.
He can dish the crap out but if he get's even a tiny portion of it back he acts like a spoiled child, says something hurtful or mean and then goes away and sulks about it for a day.
I don't have any patience for playing his game. For the love of God, someone please explain to me why you'd keep going back to a place filled with people you apparently don't like.
There's a million forums on the internet where you can call each other b*tches and f*ckers and whatever else you want to. I suggest he go join one of them. Of course that would mean he'd have to take it as well as give it, and that's not his strong suit.
This isn't censorship. This is me telling Dave he's not welcome in my home. If the majority of you disagree with my decision just say so and we'll let him back in. But I'm sick of his act and don't want to waste another minute of my time on him.
M, you handled that exchange with Dave about as diplomatically and matter of factly as you could. Dave was the one who crossed the line.
It may not have offended you but Riggs has worked hard to make this a haven for all of us. Dave has been down this slippery slope before and his negativity has no place here.
M, you are a positive and pleasant influence here and you are among friends.
