Darnit, kids tend to have those birthdays every year, don't they? 7 already!

I'm in the office today too, but IU has the day off. I wish I could say that should make my day quiet, but my inbox got filled up over the weekend.

OK... here we go again. I'm usually good to go on Monday's, but I didn't get enough weekend, so I'm really tired.

Saturday we had a little skating party for Isaac -- he's also turning 7 (tomorrow).

Tulsa metro weather for the rest of the week will be 50's and 60's! YAY!

Now I need some coffee to get me motivated...

Morning. A lot of the world around here is off today. The ride into the office was nice and not at all crowded. I am going to spend some time filing reports and spending money. I am aiming for $2.5m. I think I should be close.

MLK day . . . that means Chinese for lunch! Yay! What do the two have in common, you ask? Nothing directly. Its just that Mrs Web gets MLK day off work because she works in a bank. With no boy (school is still open), and no work to worry about the tummy after-effects of Chinese, it has become a yearly event now for the last 4-5 years that we go out for Chinese on MLK day.

I just found out that a family from our church (and Mrs Web's 2nd cousin) lost their home to fire in the middle of the night. I don't know details yet, but it sounds like everyone is ok. I know they have quite a few pets, but I don't know much more. Sounds like it was so involved when they woke up they were not able to save much of anything.

Meanwhile . . . Monday marches on.

I know they have a couple dogs, cats, and quite a few birds. I've now heard that the dogs are ok, they think they've seen the cats running around outside, but they couldn't get to the birds and they didn't make it.

Good day, all. I'm finally settled into Camp Happy for the day. Wasn't in a big ol' hurry to get here. Its pretty quiet around here today. Not sure if it is MLK day related or not, but seems like quiet a few took the day off or called in sick.

On the up side, I've arranged to get a replacement phone for the one that suffered the auto accident on Friday.

Pambo has no need of the freebie she got for her corporate liable phone since the company elected to not extend phone benefits to her team. She said I could have it. Now all I will have to do is get the number swapped to that phone. Should be easy, but who knows?

Dang... harsh news, Web. I feel really bad for that family. Losing their house and some of the pets has got to be a wrenching experience. Very glad to hear that the people and at least some of the pets are okay.

Hey Web, I cant imagine how scary that nust have been to try and get out of a fire. At least the family made it out with most of the pets, sadly losing a few in the process. I'll keep them in my prayers..also, enjoy the Chinese vittles.

Turns out Ken is here today, so I told him of my phone related plight and what I got worked out. His response was, "Good. You aren't gonna run over this one, are you?" He also suggested I move both of my phones away from my desk chair as it has wheels too. Love that guy.

Good afternoon e'body. Almost 40 here today! A gift from the West that my buddy Web sent my way.

Ruby, I can tell you why I don't like THIS Monday (ordinarily Mondays don't bother me since they're my Tuesdays). THIS Monday bothers me because 1, it actually IS my Monday and B, I stoopidly volunteered for overtime tonight and tomorrow.

That wouldn't be so bad, but I agreed to it last week before I thought about the fact today was MLK day. That means that because of the holiday both nights of overtime will be straight pay. THAT SUCKS! 12 hour days and no OT pay. I'm such an eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeediot!

On a happier note (35 - 14), Dylan and I roughed up Web last night on Madden football. I won't share the score (35 - 14) because I'm not one to rub those sort of things in. Sufficient to say (35 - 14) it was a solid win on the frozen tundra of Lambeau field.

Move along people, there's nothing to see here.

Are you sure that he didn't let you guys win? Maybe he felt bad about your Packers last week. Or your playoff picks. He is probably afraid that if he beats up on you too often you won't come out to play anymore.
