I'll go on record as taking the Colts right now. For MZ's sake I hope they win, and I think they're the better team. BUT, if the Saints win it would be a nice story for the town. So as a consolation prize a Saints win wouldn't break my heart.

I'm still pondering my pick. I wish they could both win.

Hey... I didn't think too much about it til some of the folks I went to high school with were talking about it on Facebook, but the defensive coordinator for the Saints, Gregg Williams, used to coach our football team.

Of course, I want the Colts to win, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if the Saints won. As long as it's a good game.

I think it will be a good game. Another tough pick. I am leaning towards the Colts. I will have to think about a few more thigs and make a final decision. But I have time for that.

I too am leaning the Colts way at this point.  They have been there before.

I think the Saints would be a great story if they win...first timers and all.

I like both teams but my gut instinct says Colts...We will also think about it for a bit before picking.

Fuzzy, if you pick the Colts, when they win, we'll be tied for the win here. I'd share my trophy with you.

Thanks Mz. Your trophy huh? I have been leading or tied for the lead the whole time.

Those stupid Vikings cost me a shot at the top spot. They gave that game away. Then again, SD pullled "an Eagles" the week before by not showing up to play. In all fairness, the Jets did work and play harder.

Oh fine, Fuzzy, would you be willing to share your trophy with me?

I'd be in much better shape if SD had actually played too!

I think the Jets screwed a whole bunch of our picks up.

Well, Web was very consistent with the Jets. I took them in their first game. I didn't think they had the offense (rookie quarterback, rookie coach) to go further. They showed me.

They showed me too.  I was worried in that Colt game when they were up 17-6.

Like you said, rookie coach, rookie QB.

But Peyton Manning was the one obstacle the Jets couldnt get past.

Yeay Colts!

Thumper...but I hope you are a Payton fan (Sean Payton, coach of the Saints) and yeah a win will make that city even crazier than normal...my son says everyone in the city, no matter where you are from, is pulling for the Saints!   WHO DAT?

Hey SG, I like the remake of the song, very cool.

I read that Prince (of Prince & the Revolution) attended his first football game ever when the Cowboys played the Viqueens two weekends ago.

Apparently he enjoyed it enough that he wrote a song for the team called "Purple & Gold" or something like that. They got to enjoy it for three whole days before THEY GOT BOOTED FROM THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

BUWAHH HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i am a new member here and a huge football fan,i think you can guess who i root for.I would love to see N.O win its just not going to happen.Peyton is just to good, when he's throwing the ball good(which is most of the time)he is unstoppable.Drew Bress will really have to have a big game for N.O. to will.

Hi Cowboy fan, welcome to the forum.

I agree. I think Peyton is just too good to lose the big game. I think the better story would be a New Orleans win, but the Colts will probably take it.

It's been a great season for New Orleans though, and you never know. If they get off to a fast start anything can happen.

Hi Cowboyfan.

I don't have anything against the Colts, but I too would love to see N.O. win just because its their first chance.

I've thought it over all week. As much as I want the Saints to win, I too think the Colts will prevail.

This is one of those games where I can't really bring myself to cheer for one team over the other because I like them both. I think both Brees and Manning are good quarterbacks... just happen to think Manning is better. Every record currently held by Favre will fall to Manning in the next few years barring any unfortunate injuries. The Saints have a fabulous story working for them and New Orleans really deserves the boost that the Superbowl win would surely bring them. They have played a monster of a year and I'm very glad they made it to the big game.

Bottom line, I think the Colts will win but honestly I'll be cheering for whoever has the ball at the time. smile.gif

Not every record, I think Manning will let Farve keep one record - the interceptions.

And I am definitely going with the Colts. I think Manning can keep it together better and will have more passing yards than Brees. I could see both of them throwing for 300-350 yards.

Probably true. My guess is Manning won't try to beat Favre on "number of times retired from the NFL" either. giggle.gif

By the way... since Dylan may or may not be back before game time, he asked that I post that he is picking the Colts to win. I was hoping he would be back here to post that himself.
