I love the Little Blue Man song! (I requested it.) I remember my grandparents used to have it on record, but I don't know what type of relevance it had to anything. It's just a cute little song.
Riggs had it locked in his memory banks as Little Green Man and was going crazy trying to find it. Through the forum he was told to look for Little Blue Man, and the rest is history.
I had looked for that song for over 20 years (the little blue man).
My dad & I heard it one night when he was driving somewhere with me. The song came on and we laughed and for weeks would repeat the lines.
When I got older I could never find it, I had spent countless hours in used CD stores listening to all kinds of compilations on "wierd" songs and titles that sounded close, but had no luck.
Then one day, last fall, I mentioned on the air that in my searches I had been unable to find the song. I described it to the listeners and said it was about a little green man.
A listener emailed me and said it was actually about a little BLUE man. A quick internet search later and I had my song.
Is it just me, or does this Gary Wright song seem to get requested alot when "Jane" gets back in the rotation? And for the sake of complaining, enough of Asia "Smile Has Left Your Eyes".
Sorry Star, no idea on the Joe Jackson song.
And what's with the "Jackson" run coming up? And Joe Jackson isn't in it?
Did the whole thing play? I got a phone call at the time it came on (darnit!!!) and was trying to rush through the call so I could at least hear the end, but I didn't make it in time. But I didn't hear, "I don't wuv you anymore," but I thought that was because I was listening to the person on the other line!
Hey JR - I tried to play Abba - Gimmie a Man After Midnight awhile ago. It was in the rotation, scheduled to play, but never did. But then it popped up in the schedule of recently played songs. Is this another case of some silence at the beginning of the song and the computer kicks it out? Just curious.
