Well I survived yesterday! I went to Family Court and have requested an emergency hearing to have Duane removed from the home and would like them to append his treatment ordered by social services to include anger management and to order immediate child and financial support. I went to the bank and cancelled our accounts and started my own checking account. Then I went home and helped my son pack and I gave his dad his directions to my home and he is now living with his dad. Someone he has known for a week. At first Zach was mad at me for kicking him out too, but still no job and I caught him smoking pot. He will be away from his friends, but that is good. His dad will work him and has offered to pay me a lump sum to end his child support debt. I hope that happens, it will be a few grand that will really help me out with staying alone and paying off Zach's bondsman. This also gives his dad a chance to right some wrongs he did 20 years ago. Then I got Emily from school and we went and packed some clothes and Ruby up and headed to my dad's. She swam all night and then we ate some salad and I drank some wine and chatted with my step mom and then slept a peaceful sleep! I am ready to be alone if necessary and don't care about my home or losing anything else. Amanda just wants to be happy and I feel like I can FINALLY do that.

bad thing, I am an hour away from home.

I have a visit with social services this morning at 9. Not sure what happens next, but they were very supportive yesterday and have promised to award me full parental rights today now that I have completed my codependency counseling. It really worked for me.  I will continue to go to Celebrate Recovery though, without it I will not be able to survive all this.

TMI I guess, but now everyone kind of knows where Ruby has been for the last year!

Sounds like a crazy stretch of time for you Ruby, but hopefully all of your family issues will be settled for good now. Better days ahead. smile.gif

I'm staying up for a little bit because it's only 5 degrees out and I want to give my Mom a ride to work.

She was telling me that last week she was crossing the street on the way to work when some melon-head down the street seemed to speed up coming toward her. She said she actually felt like he was trying to hit her.

Well, he DID hit her purse pretty hard, so he literally had to come within inches of hitting her. Then he blew the stop sign and took off down the block.

My mom caught just the first three digits of the license plate (441) and knew it was a black boxy vehicle.

I noticed last night that parked on that block is a older black mini-van with a license plate that starts out 441. I tried to talk her into going to the police department to file a hit and run report. I know they couldn't arrest anyone based on this, but maybe they could at least talk to this butt head before he kills someone.

But my Mom being the person she is doesn't want to pursue it. no.gif

Amanda, I know Zach has been causing you grief for quite some time now, and even though it must have been very difficult for you to kick him out of the house, it might be exactly what he needs to help him get his head on straight.  I'm glad your ex will be giving you some money to help carry you through some of the financial rough spots. 

You know that I'm here for you, and I will support you in any way that I can.  Stay strong Ruby.

Good day all.

Good luck Ruby. The other day in my blog, I called life a snowglobe. Just when it seems like you've finally got everything settled, someone comes along and shakes the snowglobe. Here's hoping your glitter settles soon.

JR, my mom wouldn't do anything about it either. But Brian has similar problems, since he walks everywhere. Some people just don't pay attention. He's actually gotten tapped a few times. Not enough to do any damage, but I keep telling him the next time it happens, he should act like he got hurt.

Mornin'.

Ruby, what a roller coaster you've been on. Just a couple weeks ago, all was great, now this. I hope you can get off that frustrating ride one way or the other.

Not much to report here. My upset customer finally replied to me and told me to shut down her website. I told her I'd do it Friday in case she needed time to get anything off her account she needed. She is clueless. She moved her domain to GoDaddy, but didn't point the domain away from our hosting. When I close her account, her site and email will go down. Her custom built site will be deleted. She'll be even more mad and blame me for that too.

I start a new Wednesday night group for the next 13 weeks where we are going to be going through the "Truth Project". It is put out by Focus on the Family. It looks like it will be really good.

Hump day on.

Isn't that ridiculous?  You can't walk on a regular basis without being at risk of an idiot driver not paying attention.

About a year ago my Mom actually got knocked down at a crosswalk when someone wasn't paying attention and tried to turn right at a red light while she was in the crosswalk with the right of way.

But this guy last week was going about 50 mph and could have really hurt her.  She said her purse flung all the way around and hit her on the back pretty hard.

Thanks all. I am hear now. I am released from social services and have an emergnecy hearing tomorrow at 9. I hope they will put Duane out of the house and order support. They did tell me today he will have to go through anger management classes now too. I am amazed at my strength and glad I finally have what I need to not be a codependent. Zach's dad is also getting a chance to right his wrongs. Let go- let God is my motto. I just had to let everyone go and my desire to control them go first!

Okay now I need to work, cause the tears have not come yet and I think if I stop, they will.

Good day, all. yawn.gif Been here at Camp Happy since about 8:30... presently about to go to my third meeting of the day. hmm.gif I may appear to be awake and involved with this work day, but appearances can be deceiving.

Saving my wakefullness and attention for later this evening when I watch the State of the Union Address. Its not so much that I care what is being said, because we all know that stuff... regardless of who is the President... is wildly speculative at best. Its really more that it is a good glimpse into how our government really behaves. You can see who spends their time Twittering, who falls asleep, who plays to the cameras... it is epic level people watching if you enjoy that sort of thing.

He's awesome. We rented one of his DVD's from Netflix a while ago. He was talking about getting hired to do a show for a convention of deaf people. I was literally crying from laughing so hard. smile.gif

Hi, y'all.. Been preoccupied with work so no play lately  cry

My neck of the woods has a major winter storm headed in beginning tomorrow --  1-3" ice then 8-12" snow on top of that.  Looks like at least a 4 day weekend for me --  YAY! short week!  BOO! short paycheck!

Hope everyone is having a great week.

JR, maybe you should make an "anonymous" phone call or call on your ma's behalf...  Ya, you should definately report it...
